Ortaca Hotels with Hot Tub

Our group of six had dinner here at short notice and we were greeted so warmly by the manager and staff. They presented us with a wide array of local dishes, all well presented, fresh and delicious. The setting was lovely, outdoors overlooking a pond where a group of ducklings kept us entertained. A very happy experience for all of us. Highly recommended!

Room 205a room from hell, demanded a move withing half an hour,in fairness got one following morning No room to swing a cat Bed pushed against wall because of lack of room No balcony or access to fresh air because of mosquito netting on window Toilet floor paneling lifting off floor All furnishings falling apart Very small wardrobe the room was depressing. This room and others at the back of the place seemed to be offered to British guests all the time. every day there was someone demanding a room chang after arriving overnight. Hotel animal friendly so dogs everywhere and allowed into restaurant at meal times, lots of cats around, one man sat with his dog at the table every meal, this wasn't advertised Pool dangerous at reception end, on bottom, there's a drain point at the bottom of an 8inch hole in the pool floor if a anyone put their foot in its likely to get stuck and hurt themselves if not seen. Unable to get into or out of the pool if you had mobility problems without assistance, as there is no pool ladder there are steps at one end that are approx 2ft high under water and to reach the first one it's knee high in water before you reach it. My wife couldn't get in or out without my assistance. How did these 2 major safety faults get approved by travel firm inspectors Food advertised by as world wide cuisine in truth just turkish and very little choice the menu was also in Turkish by the door probably because its customer base appeared to be 85% Turkish. There was mouldy bread in basket and milk going off in jug at one occasion. Separation of foods also non existent, cold food was unchilled uncovered, hot food allowed to cool without any heat lamps above in truth most meals were all cold. There was no attempt at controlling flies going onto food except the cook often seen swotting them away was the most they did.

My wife and I travelled to the Tui Blue Seno during the recent October half term along with my parents and my sister. We spent 2 hours in the Tui travel agents when booking this holiday, as my wife is disabled, and we needed to make sure the hotel was suitable for her using either a rolling walker or wheelchair. The agents convinced us that yes, is fully disabled friendly. We proceeded to book, ensuring we had special assistance through the airport, and a private transfer when we arrived in Dalaman as she would be unable to get onto the coach. The hotel took a couple of weeks to confirm that an accessible room would be available, and once they did, we proceeded with the booking. When we checked in online, we noticed the seats we had been allocated were 2a and **, which would have been unsuitable with seats in front of us, my wife would have been unable to shuffle sideways. Red flag number 1 that this holiday wasn't going to be all we were promised by Tui. We managed to contact Tui and get these seats changed, although they gave us 2c and 2d on the outbound, either side of the aisle and staggered. We accepted this as it at least meant my wife had an aisle seat with no-one in front of her, making it easier for her to get into and out of the seat. As it happened, when we boarded no-one was sat in 2e or 2f, so the cabin crew said it would be fine for me to sit next to her. When we landed the airport staff were great and got us through the airport quickly. However, our private transfer was a Mercedes V class with 6 seats, all facing each other. Coupled with the difficulty of getting 5 suitcases, a walker and a wheelchair into it (the wheelchair eventually had to go in the front with the driver) the seat configuration made it very difficult for my wife to get in, as there were no grab handles, and quite a high step into the back of the van. Reg flag number 2, and she was beginning to get upset now. None of the seat belts worked in the vehicle, so we had to hold on and hope! We arrived at the hotel at 9pm, 30 minutes before dinner ended so the staff helped us into one of their on-site golf carts to get us down the incredibly steep hill to the restaurant. We had to rush eating a little, but the food was amazing, making us feel a bit more comfortable. We then called up to reception for the golf cart to come and colle t us so we could check in. On arriving back at reception, we were allocated our rooms, all in the same block about halfway down the hill. It occurred to me to check that this was an accessible room, to be told that it wasn't and they had no record of such a request! (despite the taking 2 weeks to confirm we could have one back in may when we booked) Red flag 3. Luckily as we were staying in the final week before the hotel closed for winter, they did have an accessible room available, so we were moved the room 4004 directly opposite the restaurant. This was our first visit to Turkey, and we chose to stay with our children at the Hilton Sarigerme. We booked a lake house room with step access to a private pool area, which provided a wonderful sanctuary for unwinding and peaceful sunbathing when one of us needed a break! The layout was well thought out, and it was kept very clean with daily replenishment of the mini bar drinks and snacks. There were plenty of entertainment options for the children, including a fantastic kids’ club (for teens, tweens, and younger ones), an art school, ping-pong and foosball areas, plus several pool options. The kids club staff were great and we had no issues leaving our children in their care for a couple of hours each day. The main pool area isn’t heated, but it’s a welcome cooldown in the hot climate. The two children’s pools and the spa pool offer heated alternatives. My husband and I treated ourselves to a Turkish hammam and massage, while our daughter, who turned 11 on our trip, enjoyed a children’s spa treatment, including nail polish, an aloe vera facial, and a massage. Huge thanks to Huseyn for arranging this! The spa therapists were fantastic, and we managed to do this while our youngest had a great time at the kids’ club. We did venture out of the resort for a day to Göcek which was arranged for us by Nazli. It is a gorgeous town 30mins from Sarigerme where we were able to take a boat trip to a couple of bays, swim in the sea and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch. It was a truly magical day which we won’t forget. The food options were excellent. Our daughter has a dairy and nut allergy, and the team provided us with an allergy card on arrival. We were able to pre-book her meals via WhatsApp messaging with guest relations. We mostly stuck to the buffet as it offered more options for her, but for her birthday, we went to Tao Chinese restaurant, where she enjoyed sushi, noodles, and a specially prepared vegan, nut-free birthday cake. It made her day so special! The beach bar was also very accommodating, and honestly, the whole resort took her allergies very seriously, which was incredibly reassuring. We often went here for sunset and a live DJ set which we all enjoyed. My only minor criticism would be that, as it was the end of the tourist season and the hotel was preparing to close, certain items like oat milk ran out and weren’t replenished, and the evening buffet staff was a bit sparse. However, a senior team member quickly stepped in to help with our daughter’s pre-ordered meal, and the guest relations assistant, Moira, assured us they’d work to improve this in the future. Evening entertainment was a lot of fun, with various shows and live music. For younger kids who found it a bit loud, they offered a movie night at the kids club with beanbags and popcorn, which was a hit. Overall, I would say if you’re contemplating a stay at this hotel, go for it! We will certainly be returning

A small hotel ideally located on the river and a 5 minute walk from the main town. Staff were friendly and service was good, they definitely made you feel welcome there. Breakfast was nice with an assortment of fruit, yogurt, meats and a small choice of cooked items, however if you are after a full English this isn’t for you (plenty of restaurants in the town do offer it though) Rooms were clean and well decorated with a nice size bathroom and shower. If you want an outside space to sit outside your room you would need to be on the ground floor as the upper rooms don’t have a balcony. It had a nice size pool and plenty of beds, you could always find one free. If you don’t want to sit by the pool they have a nice garden area with more sun loungersnthat overlooks the river and had mountain views. You could eat lunch there but no evening restaurant but that wasn’t a problem as you were so close to town where there were plenty of places to eat. The pool bar stayed open late, basically until the last guest decided to go to bed! We spent all our evenings here as it was such a nice atmosphere and plenty of chats amongst guests, a benefit of being in a small hotel! I would highly recommend the hotel and Dalyan in general. We will definitely be going back again.
