I struggled with several hotels at first, and finally chose Meichengli~ This hotel is newly opened, the facilities are quite new, the rooms are very clean, and the space is relatively large. For a Virgo like me who has a mysophobia, it’s still very satisfying~
The location is also good. I originally wanted to stay in the city center, but I was worried that there would be no food here. Unexpectedly, there are a lot of places to eat within 1km of the hotel, and attractions such as Pigeon Nest Park, Biluo Tower, Laohutan, and Liuzhuang Night Market are all very close! Highly recommended. When traveling, you can choose Didi, which is very convenient~ There is also bus No. 34 nearby, and you can rent a battery car in front of the hotel, so we rented a battery car for two days in a row, which is super convenient~

View from the window is disgusting, a lot of garbage on the streets out there, box houses, feels like a ghetto.
Working table and some surfaces were full of dust.
At the same time the staff is very polite. There were some problems at checin with passports verification, and room key become disabled at some point. So staff helped with these.
Breakfast was ok, not strong varied, but tasty and hearthy.
At night main entrance is closed, you'll need to use sideway entrance (follow near 24/7 label)

Excellent hotel, I would highly recommend anybody visiting Shanhaiguan to stay here.
The building is beautiful and includes a mini museum exhibition of calligraphy and lovely gardens. The room was clean, comfortable and provided 6 bottles of complementary water.
The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me check out at 2pm since I had a 3pm train to Dalian.
Location wise the hotel is situated right next to the first gate under Heaven tourist area. You can get a good view of the gate even from the hotel courtyard, also walkable to restaurants and the drum tower just a couple hundred meters away.
Lastly it’s just a short taxi ride from the rail station (1.6km/5min/8rmb) and laolongtou Great Wall section (7km/15min/15rmb).

Advantages:
1. Good location, next to Maoye Center Mall, convenient for entertainment, shopping and food; 10 minutes walk from the coastline
2. Hotel service and enthusiasm, special praise for Liu Wanhui, the front desk check-in, warm and thoughtful service, smiling and polite. After checking in, she saw that I had a lot of luggage, and took the initiative to move the luggage to the room for me. When I arrived in the room, I asked about my opinion of the room and told me about the nearby tourist attractions very considerately, which was very good!

Beautiful environment, attentive service. After informing me of my family's birthday, they helped decorate the room and gave me a birthday gift. I was very touched. The castle's characteristic arched windows and exterior scenery are very fairy-tale-like. There are many wedding photos taken here. There are also special grapes and handmade products. The hotel has a beautiful environment and a very good location. The beach is just outside. There is a natural forest oxygen bar in the courtyard, as well as a century-old cultural relic villa. GGabi NettoJ had a lovely stay at the Argyle resort and the fact that you just need to cross the parking lot to get to the Dongshan Bathing Spot is definitely amazing! There are some tourist attractions close by, but very far from historical sites.
The room was ok, but it looked different from the pictures. Probably a bit of mold on the wall or water damage, dirty windows, and a piece of the wardrobe door was broken. Not what I would expect at a resort.
The breakfast had so many options, but very few western choices, limited to sliced bread, butter and jam, yogurt, fruits and coffee. The coffee machine always had an issue, but the staff quickly came to fix it. During my stay there, everyday someone complained about the coffee maker.
One of the things that I found really nice is that every day they would bring or leave fruit in my room. But on the last day, I was sleeping, and someone came in. She did apologize, but it was weird having someone in your room while you’re there.
In terms of amenities, they have everything really! From shower cap to razors. And the blow dryer was really good!
Because it was golden week, the staff was overwhelmed with work (lots of guests and weddings) and they didn’t talk about the facilities - gym, pool, hot springs.

GGuest UserThe first time I came to Aranya, I chose Yinlu without hesitation because I like this Zen-like Japanese decoration style. I was not disappointed! Although the hotel is not on the beach, it is only about ten minutes' walk from the Lonely Library. And the shuttle bus can go anywhere, basically it will arrive within ten minutes by calling.
The biggest highlight is the hotel's butler service. When checking in, the guest service manager Alice Xiaohu added WeChat, and then sent a lot of travel guides and warm tips. If you need anything, you can contact her on WeChat. It's really a blessing!
The only drawback may be that the hotel's door is not soundproof. You can hear the waiter in the corridor knocking on the door of other rooms and calling for room service. In addition, there is no scenery outside the window, not only no sea, but also no garden view. So the price of around 1,000 yuan at the end of September is okay, but it is not worth it if it exceeds this price.

NNooshinIt was my husband birthday and booked Shangri-la, It was very clean and have a stunning view. The room has a nice smell. The reception was very cheerful, and they all could speak English. I requested a birthday theme for my husband's birthday and they designed the room with some towel, also send a free cake and red wine. ( I have to mention, Thank you dears)
The breakfast was very delicious. We also tried the Buffet dinner one night, it was very delicious with both choices Chinese and Western.
The swimming pool was clean.

It's not far from Maoye, Qinhuang Alley, Underwater World, etc. The room is quite big, and you can see that it's quite old. There is a rich breakfast, an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a laundry room, and a paid children's playground. It's a pity that the hotel is not well built in the direction of a resort, wasting such a good location. The lobby is on the first floor. If it's a little higher on the second or third floor, you can see the sea. There is a terrace outside the sea-viewing bar on the fifth floor, which is locked and not open during the day. The shuttle buses and trains in the park were all stopped, and there was no prompt for booking a room.
There is nothing there, so traveling depends on walking.
Most of the shops are closed, so if you arrive after two o'clock, you will have a hard time eating.
The soundproofing of the hotel is very poor, and talking in the corridor in the middle of the night is like talking to someone in front of you.
The twin beds cannot be pushed together, so parents with children should be aware of this.
The hot spring wave we brought was said to be from 10:30-10:50, but it was postponed and ended early. There is a separate fee for the small fish pond, and we were told when it was not time.
Breakfast is very good in the off-season and is served quickly, but you need to walk a while to the hot spring hotel to eat it.
The beach is nice, the sand is very fine, and the water is relatively clean. The setting is also very impressive.
The front desk service is very good, and the luxury room type is well maintained. My child wanted two whale dolls of that room type and they borrowed two and put them in the room. At noon check-out time, the child was playing in the hot spring and didn't want to come out, so I negotiated with the front desk to arrive 20-30 late. Minute check-out was agreed, thank you very much.
Generally speaking, there are many people eating dumplings in this place during the peak season, and transportation during the off-season is difficult. Self-driving is okay, but those who don’t want to drive should think twice.

HHuaersanqianFinally, I took my mother and brother to Arcadia for a vacation. The two-day and one-night experience was really perfect.
The housekeeper thoughtfully upgraded our room. The big bed was replaced with a standard room. It was more convenient to bring children. It was surprisingly on the first floor. There was a swimming pool outside, and the lawn was on the right. It took two minutes to reach the sea. The children were so excited!
The room was also very clean. It was a real experience. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews😻
The children ran wildly on the big lawn all afternoon. We adults leisurely faded away the fatigue of 6 days of adjustment, and my mother had a lot of fun.
The night was also great. There were small live concerts and a bonfire party at the beach. It was super fun. I got up early in the morning and went to the beach to catch the sea. The children dug a lot of small 🦀. Cute big dogs and small dogs were everywhere on the lawn❤️
My father didn't come this time. I will definitely bring the whole family next time✌
P.s There are many delicious foods nearby. You can walk or drive, and it is economical. The hotel breakfast is also very rich!

First of all, the house is right by the sea, so it is very convenient to go anywhere. Their service is really nice and professional, just like a nanny. I have no worries when I bring my kids here. I especially want to thank Miss Yang Wenlei, who is beautiful and kind. It was hot and it was inconvenient to run back and forth with a 3-year-old child. She took the initiative to help with communication, such as returning the bracelet and taking the luggage, etc. She was very patient and helped solve them one by one. Thank you very much! GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton. The location is convenient and it’s easy to get around. The room was great and the breakfast was amazing, western and Chinese food. They also have dinner a really good dinner buffet too. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Special Thanks to Joey, the receptionist. He spoke English really well and he was really friendly and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to have great time in Beidaihe.
