During the period, the fruit was also delivered for free, and the child was happy when the robot sent it.

Because of the surprise experience in Yuncheng Manxin before, I also booked Manxin in Jinzhong. Unfortunately, the bigger the hope, the bigger the disappointment.
The location is relatively biased. Although it is called Wanda Plaza, it is at least 1 and a half kilometers away from there. The entrance to the parking lot is not easy to find, and it is together with the community.
The room is small and the decoration is relatively simple. The bed is still more comfortable and the sound insulation is not bad. The TV can't be watched. You have to buckle the cover of the table below to open the set-top box, but there is no set-top box remote control...
Service...how to say, the front desk attitude is still good. However, I only found out when I took a shower, I didn't put shampoo or hand sanitizer. When I came out of the shower, I found that the shampoo was placed on the sink. The two bottles are the same color.
Breakfast is OK, the quality is average, there are some choices.

I often travel to the hotel. This time I stayed at the Silvia Hotel and gave me a special surprise. First of all, the beautiful Zixuan who checked in was politely received and warmly upgraded the intelligent guest-controlled room. When I entered the room, I had a particularly bright floor-to-ceiling window and put my luggage to the snack street next to it. I ate some room. Come back to the window and the sun is too nice. IIGreat location, quiet neighborhood but not far from the center. The room is clean , comfortable and has the atmosphere of an old traditional home. It is the service that needs significant improvement to warrant the current four star rating. The price was for two people and yet, there was one tea bag per person, a very small roll of toilet paper and the facial tissue bixes were almost empty. The breakfast was no better: ine boiled egg, a small bun, a bowl of sweet porridge and a tiny slice (about one tenth) of a sweet potato and a root vegetable, with a tiny portion of pickled cabbage. For a mainland B&B well below standard. What’s more, the old nan who was on duty in the morning would pick up dirt from the floor while handling food with bare hands and had trouble finding toilet paper in the storage room while I waited outside in freezing weather. The host is friendly and helped with orientation and organizing transfers to the railway station, so with little improvement in service this could be a good choice for Pingyao.

The hotel is housed in a thoughtfully renovated ancient college with a beautiful courtyard for chatting, eating, and chilling. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. I really enjoyed the traditional mat style bed.
The hotel is a short walk away from the bustling Main Street. It was very convenient to walk to most attractions inside the walled City. The hotel owner also arranged free transport to take me to the high speed rail station.
The service was wonderful. No complaints!
If you’re staying here, I recommend checking out not just the ancient walled city but also the ancient temples in the area.
I would stay here again without hesitation.

It is highly recommended for people who like to sleep on hard beds. If you like soft beds, you can choose other room types. The hotel is located on the right side of the north entrance of the ancient city. It is quieter if you live in the north. It takes about 18 minutes to walk to South Street. You can also take the shuttle bus to the scenic area with your dog like me, which costs 10 yuan per person. The hotel is very clean and the temperature is very warm in winter. I really like the design of the entire courtyard. It is a Chinese style with modern design. I think it is more comfortable than the old-fashioned ones in the ancient city. The service is also in place. If you have any needs, just WeChat and they will satisfy you!

We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so
If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets.
The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam,
With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city.
I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

Before you visit be advised, taxis cannot enter walled town therefore cannot reach the hotel. Ask taxi driver to drop you off at the East gate of the walls and from there take the golf cart like vehicles (only taxi service allowed within the walled area) to reach the hotel. If you speak mandarin you may be able to get the service for free from the hotel, couldn't get it before check in but they kindly drove me to the East Gate for free when I left. Closest gate to the hotel is the South but has no vehicular access, if carrying luggage, always use East Gate.
