A great place to stay if you're attending a wedding at St Giles Place, lovely breakfast and bar. The staff were incredibly helpful. The room was a great size, with all the facilities you could ask for, a very comfortable stay.

The staff were all lovely, helpful, smiling, nothing too much trouble. Good sized food portions. Breakfast personalised to our requirements (e.g. eggs cooked in a certain way) with no fuss or drama. Bacon crispy, sausage well cooked. Beds comfy, rooms nicely furnished, complimentary earplugs a nice touch (although we didn't need them!) Bodywash/shampoo dispenser in shower was empty although the conditioner served as a suitable alternative.

Friendly staff. Very good service. My meal of sausages , mash and veg was very tasty. My friend had the Shepherds pie and said it was tasty too. He was given extra mash on request- the menu seemed to say it came with mash as extra. The venue is very clean, toilets also. Normal seating at fining tables, with cushions on done of the wooden chairs. There are other comfortable seats if wanted. There is also a covered outside area as well as plenty of outside tables. The venue is also an hotel. At times there are weekends of entertainment for families. There is a large car park but possibly can get extra busy on occasions such as above. OAP’s can claim 10% discount on their meals 7 days a week.

We stopped at The Horton on our way from Bristol to Bournemouth. This was our second visit and both times we found great service and friendly staff with a good atmosphere. As it was a Sunday the three of us went for roasts and these were amazing. A large portion, lots of different veg and these cauliflower cheese (extra) was lovely and cheesy. On our previous visit we had the normal bar menu and these food was lovely then too. Would definitely go back there again and we recommend The Horton

Lovely staff. We had a smallnissuecwhichvwas resolved quickly with no fuss. Really good food in the evening. Comfortable room with lots of extras like teas and hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend this place for food or to stay over.

Very pleasant staff gave us a warm welcome. As it was a nice day we were asked if we wanted to sit outside but chose inside. Service good, food really good. would recommend. The pie of the day was excellent and the tempura veg was really tasty. price was as you would expect for a country pub.

Visited with husband, adult daughter and two malamutes for Sunday lunch while on holiday. Next to mine, l think it was the best Sunday roast l have ever had! The red cabbage and cauliflowercheese was out of this world (better than mine)! The dogs shared a lamb roast dinner, too. Nothing, not even a carrot, was left! The service by the bar staff was great. Thank you so much!

I think this place needs a real deep clean and bit of tlc. The floors felt dirty and sticky. Could tell they haven’t been washed for a while. The whole time we were there the front porch wasn’t swept at all, leaves everywhere. Breakfast was ok, it was included in the stay which was a nice extra. Beds weren’t the best. A really old wooden frame covered with a valence. Cheap springy mattress. If you want a quiet break then don’t open the windows. I’m used to a bit of noise from traffic but the road is very straight outside the pub so cars drive at top speeds. Wouldn’t return
