Wir sind als Exil-Franken zum zweiten Mal hier gewesen. Das Schäufele, der Kloß und das Blaukraut ein Traum. Habe es in Franken nicht oft besser bekommen. Dazu ein super Silvaner vom Bürgerspital Würzburg zu einem Super/Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr nette Bedienung Mehr geht nicht 👍👍👍👍

Ein toller Ort, an dem liebe Menschen alles geben um Ihre Gäste zu verwöhnen! Wunderbares selbstgemachtes Essen in einem einzigartigen historischen Ambiente. Hervorragend und außergewöhnlich restauriertes Gebäude. Sehr freundliches und flexibles Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Die Wildgerichte im Xtragleis sind und waren schon immer etwas Besonderes. Das Fleisch kommt aus der eigenen Jagd des Betreibers und banal ausgedrückt…vom Jäger unseres Vertrauens. Einige von uns hatten sich die „Wilde Lasagne“ ( mit Bolognese vom Reh + Wildschwein) bestellt. Ausgezeichnet. Der Rehrücken mit Rotkohl, Spätzle, Klöße und einer Jus war so hervorragend, dass die Bezeichnung Genuss-Festival sehr treffend ist. Das schätze ich im Xtragleis besonders, dass außer dem umfangreichen A-la-carte-Angebot, noch saisonale Highlights angeboten werden. ( Das zeitweise Coaching durch einen der besten Köche der Welt, hätte es eigentlich nicht bedurft. ) „Fränkin“ Karin Bernd + ihre Küchen-Crew wissen, wie eine fränkische Küche schmecken muss. Die Weinauswahl, sowie die speziellen Biersorten, sind das Reich von Udo Bernd. Eine pers. Beurteilung! Das Cordon bleu + die Käsespätzle wären für mich meine Henkersmahlzeit. Einfach unschlagbar gut. Ohne diese speziellen Käsespätzle und andere Highlights der Küche…….wäre das Xtragleis nur ein ganz normaler Bahnhof. So aber ist dieses fränkische Restaurant für uns schon eine besondere Ablaufstelle für sehr leckeres Essen. Service? Keine Abstriche.

Hatten im XtraGleis Plätze im Biergarten reserviert, um das fränkische Kultessen „Schäufele“ zu probieren. Können diesen urigen Biergarten sehr empfehlen. (Die ab und zu vorbeirauschenden Züge nimmt man irgendwann nicht mehr wahr.) Was gab es an Vorspeisen? Da gibt und gab es für uns keine Diskussion. Ein Abend im Gleis ohne Käsespätzle und Nürnberger Würstchen… dass wäre ein vergeudeter Abend für uns!!! Jetzt zum „Schäufele“. Die meisten von uns hatten Vorbehalte gehen dieses fränkische Nationalgericht. Zuviel Fett usw.usw. Natürlich alles Quatsch und unbegründete Vorbehalte. Der dazu gereichte Rotkohl, die Klöße sowie die Sauce…. es war geschmacklich hervorragend. Saucenfans kommen hier voll auf ihre Kosten., Einige von uns bestellten dazu Bratkartoffeln, die wie bei „de Omma zu Hause“ schmeckten. Bestellt hatten wir uns als Getränke, zu diesem Kultessen der Franken, das spezielle Müngerstädter Klosterbier. Passte perfekt zu diesem Essen. Ausnahmslos wurde der Preis für das Schäufele mit Beilagen… als sehr moderat beurteilt. Wie wir den Service empfanden? Passte ebenfalls. Frau Suerbaum ist u.a. die Service-Seele im XtraGleis. Speziell, freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Uns hat dieser „Schäufele-Abend“ im XtraGleis in jeder Hinsicht gefallen. Keine Abstriche beim Service und dem Essen. Großes Kompliment an die fränkische Köchin + Betreiberin Karin Bernd. Das alles in diesem Restaurant zu unserer Zufriedenheit ablief, dafür sorgte der Manager + Betreiber Udo Bernd. Ganz einfach: ＞Er hat den Laden im Griff.＜ Gut für uns Gäste.
