房間整體會比較陳舊 但還算乾淨 我們住的是一個小閣樓 一樓是客廳廚房 二樓有兩個房間（主卧一個大床和次卧兩個單人床 次卧會特別冷） 和帶地暖的衞浴 因為房子有100多年歷史了 能看出屋主打理的非常用心 房間裏有一本手冊 上面有入住注意事項 更有屋主手繪的農場地圖 還有周邊設施的介紹 和遊玩建議 看得出來真的經營的很用心
在入住之前貼心的詢問了預計抵達時間 按照我們到達的時間提前生好了火爐（房間內沒有空調或暖氣 都靠火爐取暖 可以自己動手生火 我們覺得蠻有意思的） 我們是冬季入住的 入住期間下雨+下雪 所以可能我們感受到的温度較冷 夏季應該不存在這個問題
房間裏面該有的都有 也有廚具可以做飯 但沒有調味品 需要自己去鎮上買 或者可以選擇提前跟房主預約早餐（33刀一份）或三道式的晚餐（83刀） 其實我特別推薦如果有時間可以去試一下晚餐 因為是在主lodge吃 我看別的評論説屋主會拿出純銀的餐具和古董餐盤來招待大家 （圖4-7源自網絡）整個主建築的風格也非常的維多利亞風格且華麗 如果時間充裕的朋友推薦嘗試一晚
比較可惜的是我們住的兩晚都在下雨 沒辦法去好好逛農場 走之前短暫出了太陽 非常漂亮 唯有幾個我們中國人可能會覺得不夠好的點： 1 火爐fireplace是唯二的取暖方式 （另外一個是電熱毯）生火對我們來説有一定難度 但是可行的我們也覺得是很好的經歷 2 床墊及枕頭偏軟
最後也是比較重要的一點是這個農場是一定一定需要自駕前往的 周圍沒有任何公共交通可以抵達 離最近的小買鋪（grocery shop 偏小）的要開車10-15min 離最近的小鎮開車要30min 鎮上有餐廳 大一點的超市（4 square） 整體來説是一次很有意思的經歷和體驗 推薦～ 但可能不適合追求極致乾淨 喜歡現代化的朋友們入住

This is a beautiful old house set in stunning scenery with views of the alps. It was warm and cosy and the owners are friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We had a private dinner with delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere in the old dining room. The rooms are comfortable and furnished with beautiful antiques which fit the house. We all slept very well in the super comfortable beds and had a wonderful stay. I can recommend this highly for a quiet escape.

This place is wonderful and the homestead is amazing. So original and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Grainery, lovely separate building next to the homestead, which was excellent, plenty of room , separateHistoric bedrooms upstairs and a great log burner which heated the whole house in no time. Would definitely go back. Peaceful and relaxing

Convient stopping place en route through the Scenic Route through mid- Canterbury. Grand Estate with a rich history and hosts Simonetta and William brought all the history to life food was excellent, in gorgeous surroundings, and and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend.

Nice Spot but stairs, mice and flies issues.
Setting and hospitality was lovely, BUT mice running on counter in kitchen and through the ceiling during night kept us up, a lot of flies dive bombed me when trying to sleep, dead flies and mouse droppings to deal with. ALSO the steep stairs with no handrail or fall protection was a big concern and the large drop into the attic bedroom needs a step. Dining was closed as chef was away so don't count on food but kitchen setup was good. Had a nice woodstove for a fire to take the chill off and comfy sitting area.

My husband and I booked the Verandah room in the lodge at Gunyah for 2 nights, earlier this month, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were looking for a quit spot to relax for a few days and this is exactly what we got! The house is beautiful and Simonetta has furnished it beautifully. She and the rest of the team did a great job looking after us, checking in too see if we had everything we wanted. She is a fabulous cook and we had 2 wonderful dinners in that beautiful dining room! My husband and I both enjoyed the old world glamour an enjoyed walking around the garden. The house and the garden and Simonetta as custodian are all treasures and I wished we could stay longer!
