The rooms are very good although some of the bathrooms are on the small side, but the staff are very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The food is very good and the location is fantastic as it provides great views of the local area. The hotel is old and therefore quirky but I would definitely recommend it for a stay in the Black Forest.

Spontane Übernachtung im Hotel Schloss Hornberg. Zu zweit von Samstag auf Sonntag im Standart Doppelzimmer. Die Zimmer sind schlicht aber schön eingerichtet, die sehr hohen Decken geben auch den kleinen Räumen ein großes Raumgefühl. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und kümmerte sich um alles. Das Essen war das Highlight, des Aufenthaltes. Wir hatten das Light my Fire 5 Gänge Menü und waren sehr zufrieden. Man kann aber auch a la Carte bestellen. Begleitet wird das Essen Samstags von einem Pianisten. Sonntags gibt es ein Sektfrühstück, welche in unserem Preis enthalten war. Das Übernachtungspaket mit Frühstück war sehr attraktiv. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

From the warmth of the welcome to the friendly farewell a wonderful stay - I was part of a coach trip - beautiful location, very good service in the restaurant, the bar, nothing too much trouble. Yanos ( I hope spelled his name correctly) a very polite, friendly young man service with a smile every time. The owners relaxed and friendly, wide choice of food at breakfast and dinner, comfortable rooms, enjoyed our visit from start to finish.

We had a lot of expectations from this hotel. Because of the beautiful location, but also because of the good reviews. However, our visit was very disappointing. The castle and the park around it are really worth it. Also fun for children. The hotel itself is very dated. The staff is not flexible, not hospitable or helpful and the food is also a disaster. Can you sleep well there? Absolutely not. The curtains do not close properly, the beds are hard and the blankets are inadequate. The most striking thing that stuck with us is the very unwelcoming and inflexible staff. We did not feel welcome. I really wish this hotel better staff. It deserves that with its beautiful location. Although there is nothing to do in Hornberg itself.

Wir haben am Rittermahl teilgenommen, das sehr schön gestaltet war und auch die Gänge der Speisen waren gut gewählt und lecker. Ein Abend der sehr schnell vorbei war und uns in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Wir haben 5 Nächte auf Schloss Hornberg verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden. Die Familie Finke und auch das Personal super freundlich. Wir würden allerdings beim nächsten Mal ein Zimmer mit größerem Bad wählen. DZ Superior deLuxe war supergross und auch urgemütlich, jedoch das Bad sehr klein. Das war jedoch das einzige was wir bemängeln. Ansonsten alles top und der Park und die Lage superschön. Essen sehr gut und am letzten Abend erhielten wir sogar ein 4 Gänge Menü als Entschädigung, da wir an der geführten Wanderung nicht teilnehmen konnten. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel unbedingt weiter Auch die Getränkepreise waren sehr moderat. Der Biergarten ist urgemütlich mit toller Aussicht auf Hornberg. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder....

Stayed for 2 nights twice within a week, with a Eurocamp inbetween. The location is breathtaking with views all around. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is continental style but also very good. We had a "deluxe room" at the front first visit and were upgraded to a "Tower" room on the 2nd. Be aware there is no air conditioning but as it is high up it was comfortable even though the weather was very warm. Also be aware there is no lift at the hotel but they do offer help with luggage. Parking can also get a bit tight if you arrive late.

We recommend this place. Beautiful location. Panoramic view from the beautiful room. Friendly staff. Spacious room with good beds and nice bathroom. One of the best hotels I have stayed in in Germany. Breakfast was also nice and good service was provided

Nous avons passé 2 jours géniaux dans cet écrin si charmant. Ce n est pas un hôtel mais une expérience! L endroit est charmant, atypique, hors du temps. Le personnel est aux petits soins et vraiment gentil. Les chambres sont grandes, lumineuses et très propres. Et le repas est divin! Nous avons adoré nos repas raffinés à la présentation digne des grands restaurants. Le petit déjeuner est top! Nous reviendrons assurément. Bravo aux propriétaires pour leur passion, leur engagement !
