Kabini Lake View Resort

I had shared Feedback about this place with Linesh ( the manager) directly and did not intend to give the feedback. But LINESH’s CHEAP ACT the end made me write it. I had to pay the remaining amount at checkout and j wanted to pay via card but somehow network did not work. Then we decided to pay through Gpay and I asked my wife to do if who was in the car. He first said that you can go and share the screenshot but ON THE OTHER END HE CALLED THE SECURITY AND TOLD THEM TO NOT ALLOW US TO LEAVE UNTIL THE PAYMENT IS DONE. Rooms - Pathetic and not maintained. Seapage in washroom and mold on the washroom door. Breakfast - not good the veggies used were not cleaned well due to which there was sand in pulao and seviya. Service - Staff was friendly and good and supportive. Pratap, Shiva and Raghu were really helpful. Activities - Just on paper, punctured cycle. 10k for one night in lodge level room with mould washroom is not worth it. Max we can pay 2k just for the room. With 3 meals, may be 5.

Good Hotel,very cooperative staff even arranged Jain food for us,met all requirements... would surely recommend..good property... Although the property needs to install more indoor activities and games.

food was below average... pool is simply there in pics alone, not in reality... kids got super bored.... Resort told I'll get safari tickets in return to compensate for pool as it was my primary requirement, but ultimately charged me during checkout....

A small break of 2 days to Kabini lake view resort , a good destresser of sorts . The first day enjoyed the serene location with so much green around us , which gave a soothing effect to the minds and the cool breeze in the balcony with the shades of huge trees , the effect of Malayalam massage was fully enjoyed . The second day started with a small walk into the tiny village , in a search of a cup of tea in vain . Villages have the luxury of no hurried life like the cities , everything was at God’s pace ( calm and cool) . A quiet breakfast gave us a good time to watch a wonderful event of very tiny birds called robins with the size of hardly 2 inches long , which occasionally spread its tail like a peacock , as a show off to us . The water in the park outside the cottage was sprinkled on the trees and these birds , getting drenched in the splash , shirking the water and go for a fight against the water , displaying its courage and might . A playful event which lasted about an hour and it was so interesting to watch them play in water , and also showing it off to us . The lunch followed the safari by 3.30pm , lucky to spot the tiger in the reserve , was told it was 2 years old , sat in the pond for 10 minutes , walked with the majesty of a lion and walked into the jungle , not to be seen for the day . There were a few more animals like the elephant , wild boar , Indian gaur and beautiful spotted deers , antelopes , sambar deer , the lagoons ( said to be the cameras of the forest ) were aplenty . Not to miss the long tailed huge black squirrel, the serpentine eagle . A heartful of the nature’s creation , ended the day back to the jungle lodge and our resort . The thought and sight of nature , takes our mind in a different direction from the regular monotony of city life .

We stayed there for 2 nights. The property is super basic, and looked fairly run down. We felt we were the only ones there, quite empty. The food was very mediocre and not really available. The manager was particularly rude on several occasions. We would not recommend staying here. We went for several safaris at Nagarhole and saw just a glimpse of 1 tiger. So keep your expectations low.

An excellent location to enjoy nature and for bird watching. This place is 90 mins from the mysore airport on the way to Nagarhole National park. It is 15 mins away from the Jungle safari starting point but the safari can pick up from the resort itself. It is around 1 km off the main road right on the banks of the kabini river. You can walk around the property and inside the surrounding villages to witness nature at its best. You can spot plenty of birds in and around the resort that includes water birds as well as land birds. The staff are courteous. Rooms are in the form of prefabricated cottages with excellent interiors and cleanliness. The food is homely and tasty. Mr Lennesh, Manager, arranged for a safari and naturalist ( Swami 86180 93897) for bird watching who did a wonderful job of giving us a tour in Kabini and Nagarhole. We did tiger Safari but did not spot a tiger. There are no restaurants or shops around the resort. You have all meals included in the tariff. Keep a car for yourself in case you want to move around. In all, it is a value for money for those who want to witness nature, especially bird watching.
