We came to the Vivaldi Park Ski Resort on Dec 19 from Seoul and stayed one night at the Sono Bel Tower B. There were 3 adults and 2 children. Room type was a Suite room (1 double room + 1 ondol room). We understood ondol is traditional Korean style ‘sleeping on floor’ (and we have slept on Japanese tatami mats before) and was ok with that. Still, it was very spartan compared to expectation, as described below. The living room was ok with sofa and TV. (-) ondol room was basically a windowless room with 4 white walls with no furniture. Not even a sidetable or chair. To have some ventilation, we opened the living room window. (-) bedroom had no sidetables so we put all our stuff on the floor (-) no bath towels were provided, only face towels. So after my shower, I wiped dry with a towel the size of 2 sheets of A4 paper (-) toilet/bathroom in bedroom was very small (like you could touch both walls if you stretched your arms akimbo). The common toilet/bathroom was ok. (-) we found 2 dead bed bugs (-) we asked for 3 more pillows but were told we can only have 2 more (+) there was a balcony we could air some of our clothes (+) good views. balcony side faced some natural scenery which was very picturesque when it started to snow. Other side (lift lobby area on our floor) was facing the ski slopes of the resort which was nice view too. (See photo) (+) when the toilet got stuck, we called housekeeping and the plumber came really quickly (faster than most 5 star hotels might respond) and fixed the problem very quickly too

갑작스러운 가족 여행으로 선택하게 된 곳인데 정말 좋았어요. 호텔처럼 세련되고 고상하진 않더라도 시골 할머니댁이나 깊숙한 산장 같은 특유의 정감 가는 분위기가 있어요. 위치가 시내가 아니라서 다소 외지고 주변에는 편의점 하나 없이 산과 강 뿐이지만, 저는 오히려 그게 좋았던 것 같아요. 오랜만에 건물이 아닌 산에 둘러싸여 있고 싶어서 떠난 여행이었기에 만족스러웠어요. 위치나 객실 특성상 여름에 가면 특히 더 좋을 것 같긴 한데, 겨울에는 산이 눈에 아주 예쁘게 덮여있어서 그것대로 좋더라고요. 그리고 사장님께서 정말 친절하고 자상하셔서 더 기분 좋게 묵을 수 있었어요. 카페를 함께 하시는데, 퇴실하기 전에 거기서 마신 커피와 사장님과 나눈 대화, 사장님께서 선뜻 보여주신 우쿨렐레 공연 모두 참 좋았어요. 홍천은 주변이 대부분 산지라서 많이들 여행으로 오는 곳은 아닌 것 같은데, 잠시 도시에서 벗어나 자연을 감상하고 오기 좋은 곳인 듯해요. 홍천에 온다면 숙소로 여기 시실리 펜션이 좋은 선택이 될 거예요!

This resort made me feel genuinely restored to my natural rhythm and reconnected with nature. It was the perfect way to slow things down and recover from burnout, stress, and fatigue from work and life's daily drama. All it takes is a 2-night stay, but if you can stay longer, I highly recommend it. The rooms have zen, organic, and minimal decor; think ”Muji” style shop. And it's all these little details and things, like the very comfy traditional Korean clothes they give to wear that makes it easy to empty your mind. I recommend a room with a terrace view of the whole property for lovely sunrises and sunsets. I genuinely believe this an authentic wellness center that makes you feel reconnected with your mind, body, and spirit. It's perfect for a much-needed tech-detox and to unplug. If you're a dog-lover, I recommend trying the dog trekking/hiking course with one of the two adorable retriever dogs they have on-site, who lead the way. The staff are super friendly, the food is nutritious, and the facilities are tastefully modern, eco-friendly, and organic. There's no TV, air-conditioners, etc... and WiFi is only available in the lobby, which is a reasonable walking distance from your room. This resort's concept is to make you move your body while resting your mind via ”intentional discomfort” (walking up hills, taking a break from technology, etc...). I came to find it's just the thing my sedentary homebody needed, and I felt great after.

Announcement of investment in a housing project located separately from the ski area, quiet, beautiful atmosphere, newer rooms in the area near the ski field at a cheaper price, but it is a distance by car or you have to take a shutter button only. It takes about 10 minutes to drive yourself up the hill, making the view beautiful but it takes time. Building F is the check-in counter, there is a minimart and a club. The other buildings are quite far apart, making walking distance inconvenient, you have to drive.

I originally came here to ski with my boyfriend, but unfortunately we encountered a heavy snowstorm and many facilities were not open. We could only have fun in the hotel restaurant or indoor playground. The facilities in the hotel can be seen to be newly opened, and the clerks are friendly and courteous, but their English is really poor, and because I didn't bring a puppy with me, the front desk staff asked me many times strangely why I booked this hotel? I need to use a translator to keep translating. It would be better if we could hire some clerks who speak better English. The reason is that I like dogs very much, and even if I travel, I want to go to a hotel with dogs. Since I didn’t bring any animals with me, the front desk staff also gave me some coupons, including horse riding and massage coupons, but horse riding It’s not open, so I can only go for a massage. The massage was in another hotel. It took 15 minutes to walk from our hotel. But when we went to the hotel over there, the reception staff had a very bad attitude and didn't understand English at all. They didn't understand the Massage either. In the end, we had to do it at the front desk. It took 20 minutes to get a massage, but there was only one masseur. Many water signs were only in Korean and not in English. It was not user friendly enough. Also, the bed is a little itchy

Thank you so much to the good boss and wife. While barbecuing (don't get a drop of water on your hands), your wife brought beer to Hawaiian Beer Keeper, so we ate well. I used it with a middle school boy and a family of three, and it was so convenient that I want to come back again next time. It's clean after remodeling, and the best thing is bedding! Really clean!!! When I went home, I was really grateful that the boss packed sesame leaves and various vegetables and sent them to me~^^ ah. really! It's good to come with a child because you can see the stars in a daze. I met the owner again who came out to swim in the river in front of the pension in the afternoon after leaving the room. Thank you very much for greeting me until the end.
