When we counted down to midnight, the fireworks over Victoria Harbour were in front of us, and Queen's Square was under the window.

This time, I had a great experience staying at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. The hotel is located in the central area. It is very convenient to take the high-speed rail to Hong Kong Kowloon West Station and then take the subway to the hotel in one stop. The front door and the front desk staff of the hotel are very enthusiastic, and the check-in procedure is also very fast. Since the hotel has been in business for more than 60 years, some shortcomings in hardware facilities that have been reflected with the changing times are definitely inevitable. The main thing is that the room is very low, and it is easy to touch the ceiling when taking a shower or blowing your hair in the bathroom. In addition, there is a feeling of poor air circulation in the room when you first check in. However, considering that it has been some time since the last renovation, the hotel is generally well maintained. The breakfast selection is not very rich by the luxury five-star standard, but the ingredients used are very particular. The breakfast service is also very thoughtful, and someone is always on the lookout for tea refills. But the most praiseworthy thing is the cleaning team. Because of the jet lag, I get up very late every day and miss the time to tidy up the room in the morning. Someone still comes to clean the room every afternoon. Many details are not available in many five-star hotels at home and abroad, including carefully organizing the charging cables with the hotel's own cable management belt; placing a cleaning cloth on the bedside when seeing a mobile phone; and even turning the shower head to the wall to prevent cold water from splashing on the guests when they turn on the shower faucet. It is these details that reflect the professional service spirit and experience accumulated by the Mandarin Oriental flagship hotel over the past decades, and also allow guests to fully experience the charm and value of this international brand. This is also something that many hotels with advanced and modern hardware cannot compare to. I will still give priority to staying here when I go to Hong Kong in the future.
