Amazing
GGuest UserAccomodation is located on a separate island, which is a gem itself - stunning shoreline, lovely park for walks, a very peaceful place which is also very safe. Great location - road connecting it to the mainland, and just 10 minutes drive from Knysna harbour with all the best eat out places around. We've been treated by Pierre, who is the most friendly and welcoming host. He has designed the place with his love for sailing and the sea in general - everything is very stylish, clean and bright. He is also originally from Belgium, which means you'll also benefit from delicious Belgium waffles as a nice desert treat for your breakfast. You can also ask him about best places to visit, not just around Knysna but all across the West Cape. And there will also be a special something for dog lovers, as there are 2 absolutely adorable labradoodles hanging around when allowed by guests, and they really love to cuddle 🤗 Wish we could stay for more, but will definitely come back next time I'll be around.
GGuest UserBeautiful hotel facing the lagoon. Check in was not a smooth process due to a room mix up. The service from the staff was outstanding. The room I checked into was very nice, spacious, clean with a beautiful view of the lagoon. The food was delicious. The hotel is a bit far from the city center/waterfront.
Overall experience was outstanding.
I look forward to visiting this place again in summer.
GGuest UserWe had a very friendly welcome from our hostess with welcome drinks, a small snack and a scented damp refresher towel. The grounds are beautiful - lush, green and well kept. We were bumped up to a lovely room with a big balcony and view over the pool area and river. The room was very clean and neat. breakfast at the on-site restaurant was delicious and staff were friendly. (the only minus... the coffee was not hot).
Another great thing is that all the activities (canoeing on the river, hiking, mashie golf, etc are included in your room fee!
We would definitely visit again!!
RRaquel SilvaVery lovely place. We booked it very last minute and the people were very accommodating! We hope to return.
The rooms were very clean, they went out their way to make sure we had everything and even more. Thank you !!
MMikeJMJonesThis is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in!!! The staff and cottages were amazing!!! Let's start with the (only small) negatives... the cottages are a little remote from Knysna centre so you are reliant on using Uber. There is a wonderful on-site pub, but it stops serving food quite early. Plus it is hard to get cars back after 10pm at night. Therefore, some people may be better off staying more centrally. HOWEVER, nowhere else will match the beauty and tranquility of these cottages! The perfect place to relax! Stock up from a supermarket and build a new home!
JJessicaThis is one of the most scenic spots in Oudtshoorn! We loved the pool for a quick dip after excursions! The hospitality is out of this world!
From breakfast baskets delivered to the room, to enjoying amazing dinner braai packs with side dishes, and having wildlife come right up to the tent to graze is just some of the perks of staying here! HIGHLY recommended!
They offer game drives, stargazing, and many other amazing excursions on the property. Wonderful setting!
DDes MojMooiplaas is a stunning venue for a clean, crisp peaceful getaway. The views overlooking the orange skyline and Ostriches doing their thing was, Oh so lovely!! The place is well managed and the staff are a friendly bunch of good old happy country folk. Nothing was ever too much. The food was delicious and fresh fruits and vegetables were delivered everyday. The rooms are old but neat. The wooden floors give the place a vintage feel. The old brown wall to wall carpet was not great but the beautiful rugs thrown over it made is bearable. They have some good quality books to read and enjoy. The breakfast and dinner menu was on point👌🏾👌🏾. I loved the home baked bread 😋 😋. The breakfast box prepared before my 5am-120km ride was excellent! It was prepared excavtly As I had requestes. I have already booked for my next trip😍😍. I loved seeing the stuff happy and enjoying their work. It’s always a good sign when staff enjoy what they do. I think I might have made a friend or two. The curio shop is interesting and the service at the Spa was… you guessed it, Oh so lovely!!☺️
NNonesi Desiree MojanagaILita Lodge offers great views and is situated in a prime location. The exterior is well maintained. However, the interior and the furniture needs a serious upgrade. The furniture is old and full of scratches. The sheets had me sleeping on the edge of the bed. I was not comfortable with the level of cleanliness at all. The interior is deserving of a one star* and the exterior deserves a four star****. The staff is friendly and allowed me to have a late check out. I recommend an upgrade of the interior furnishings.
WWandering CucamberThis was a last minute booking, but was so impressed. Easy to find along the Garden Route and nestled in a quiet suburb. Close proximity to a small shopping centre to stock up on ice or braai items. Speedy check in by Fortune, he was thorough and explained how the flood lights work and we appreciate the lodge tour. Slept peacefully and the water was hot- loved the spa bath tub. Loved the breakfast (three options available), huge portions and so delicious! We wish we had stayed longer- we were on tour and George was our stopover along the Garden Route.
There are braai facilities, basic cutlery, coffee station along with a fridge and microwave oven in the room.
