Otherwise, to get anywhere in the Roaring Fork Valley (which includes Aspen, Snowmass, Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs) I recommend using RFTA (Roaring Fork Transit Authority) buses. They are fast, efficient and there are stops and routes all over the area to help you get to where you need to go. If you are only traveling around the Aspen/Snowmass area these buses are 100% FREE.To quickly get instructions on how to go from “Point A" to “Point B" I would highly recommend using Maps. This will take all the fuss and guesswork out of finding your way around, as there are quite a plethora of routes and options. Simply plug in your destination, select "transit" (the little train icon,) and Maps will do the rest, conveniently showing you all the appropriate schedules, routes, where, and how far, to walk to catch them. You can even set reminders to leave if you need to arrive somewhere by a certain time.
