"Cottage Tozawa Center is located marvelously right opposite Mount Fuji. Cottage Tozawa Center is somewhere in between Kawaguchiko town center and Oishi town centre. Best location because we could see all the fireworks in the living room. The unit E1 has the best view, I think. One can sit in the living room or bedroom or balcony comfortably to admire Mount Fuji.
It would be more convenient for tourists who drive. No meals provided. Have to prepare futon by yourself. May rent a place for camping, which would be quite a unique experience during both winter and summer.
It's a hidden gem because it is lesser known among international tourists."

"A very nice guesthouse-style hotel with relatively large rooms compared to traditional Japanese hotels. It’s very convenient for self-driving, with a parking lot right downstairs. From the left side of the window, you can catch a distant view of a corner of Mount Fuji. Great value for the price. However, there is one downside: the shower water flow is inconsistent, alternating between strong and weak, hot and cold throughout the day, as mentioned in other reviews. Hopefully, this issue can be improved soon."

"Calm and clean place. A room was quite small, but we noticed it’s often met in Japan)
The hotel is near the picturesque place with the view on Fuji. It’s 10 minutes walk to the bus station. And you’re given all the stuff you need (towels, coffe, tea, etc)"

"I checked in with 5 points, and the service attitude is super good! Good price! It's very spacious for a family to stay and experience the Japanese home environment, with all the pots and pans available! It’s just that the bedding is so mediocre that I can’t sleep soundly!"

"Hotel location records Kawaguchiko Station walking time is about 15 minutes, walking to Kawaguchiko Station to take various transportation to the major Fuji attractions is very convenient. Open the window to see Mount Fuji, the hotel facilities are also very advanced, children especially like the bunk beds."
Green Zone-certified! Popular accommodations with a surprisingly spacious open-air bath reservable for 50 minutes. Operated by a small staff
"There weren't many word of mouth on the net, and it was cheap and uneasy, but is there such a good pension? I am so satisfied that I think! ☺️
Pet available, dinner breakfast, hot spring rental free cospa is too good.
The meal was also very delicious like a luxury hotel dish.
Coffee is also delicious.
The hot spring was also pleasant. Face wash, shampoo and body soap were also available! The water pressure in the shower is also satisfactory.
Because it was petable, I had the smell of the room or anxiety, but it was a very beautiful room without smell at all.
The downside was that I could hear the snoring voice in the next room.
I will go to stay again!"
Only five minutes by car from Kawaguchiko Station! Enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere
"Although the rooms were not small, it was a pity that I had to eat on the floor because I didn't have a simple table. I was able to cook in the kitchen, but the pot was
There was only one and a frying pan, and there was no slab about cooking equipment, so I felt quite inconvenient to make food. However, it is very satisfying that there is a solid bathtub
It was a point that could be done. The location was not far from the station to use the bus, and it was good to be able to go on foot."
Yamanashi Green Zone-approved. We have tennis courts with a view of Mt. Fuji!

Outstanding
BBeeLTanIf travel by car, this is a nice place to stay. Nice view with Mt Fuji at one side and lake at another side. Not congested. The unit is furnished with all necessary amenities. Great place for families.
We managed to grab something from 7-11 near by for a simple breakfast for everyone before our journey.
The only drawback, we have problem during check in. I didn't receive the email for pre check in and we were trying to do it in a cold dark night but it failed. We ended up have to call an international call to get it settled. It will be better if we can communicate with email or WhatsApp.
WWorld_WandererNice little photo spots around inside hostel (heater nearby), experience corner allows you to try Kimono (free to try inside hostel, chargeable if you want to wear out), and do some little craft. They sell handmade stuff too.
There’s a normal kitchen table you can use, and little lockers (with key) if you want to deposit small items near the reception.
Washer and dryer are each available for use at a fixed charge (300 yen each, Jan 2025).
Japanese style bath house available.
Last photo shows the 5 steps to lay the bedding in the room. Decent space and aircon is warm enough for winter period; though there’s no floor heating, they have a table with cloth around that you can use to keep your feet warm.
Amenities is 4/5 because they don’t allow you to use the shower for free after check out, but they still allow the use of kitchen, and toilet after check out.
Luggage deposit before check in and after check out is free as of Jan 2025.
CcassapocketKawaguchiko Station Inn
Convenient location right opposite the station
No lift in building, but the building is only 4 storeys high.
Tatami bedding is soft and comfortable, room is warm and clean. And very spacious - enough for 3 and 2 big luggage and still space to move about. Kettle and water pitcher provided. Yukata, towel and toothbrush provided.
Onsen was great - went multiple times and was always almost empty, perhaps everyone was shy. Otherwise individual cbathing cubicles are also available, though only 2.
Toilets are separate, common one on every floor. Same, never saw anyone else at the same time nor had to wait, perhaps everyone is out most of the time.
Best part of the rooms is the view… 🤩
Tldr: very convenient location with spacious warm rooms, great views and free onsen.
TTangkwaWe stayed in 106. The house is fantastic. Very clean and new. The host prepared everything we need. The house has a mountain Fuji on the rooftop. But the hotel located with a small road. The driver must be very careful to drive.
AAnonymous UserI stayed overnight at Glamping Villa Hanz Kawaguchiko and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa offered the perfect blend of luxury and nature, with stunning views of Mount Fuji in the background. The tent was spacious, stylishly furnished, and equipped with modern amenities for a comfortable stay. The outdoor barbecue setup made for a fun and delicious dinner under the stars. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed. Waking up to the view of the mountain and the fresh air was truly refreshing. If you’re looking for a unique and cozy glamping experience near Kawaguchiko, this is the place to be.
GGuest UserThis was the hotel where we spent the most nights during our trip to Japan.
First, let me explain why we chose this hotel. We were a group of four on a golf trip near Mount Fuji, and chartering a car in Japan is incredibly expensive. After two days of searching on Xiaohongshu and Ctrip, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. The owner is Chinese and offers a paid shuttle service daily from the hotel to the golf course. This service was incredibly thoughtful and convenient! While it's a paid service, it was a much more affordable and practical option compared to chartering a private car!
Moving on to the service, the owners, a couple, are very genuine and down-to-earth. They sincerely provided dining recommendations, without any hidden agenda. The restaurants they suggested were all excellent value for money (a sushi restaurant and a yakiniku place) – delicious and affordable! They even took us to witness a panoramic sunset over Mount Fuji, which we truly appreciated!
Lastly, regarding the hotel's location and facilities. It's situated at Lake Yamanaka near Mount Fuji, offering a peaceful and natural environment away from the crowds and bustle of Lake Kawaguchiko. It's definitely the top choice for anyone seeking tranquility. The rooms are incredibly spacious (definitely large by Japanese standards, allowing us to fully open our suitcases), perfect for families! The bathroom features a modern wet/dry separation, which is a great touch. The hotel itself is a beautiful traditional Japanese-style building. Right next door is the popular café, Paper Moon. (Unfortunately, due to our early starts and late finishes with golf, we didn't get a chance to try it. We'll definitely make sure to visit next time!) You can see Mount Fuji right from the doorstep, along with graceful swans!
Overall, if you're planning a two-day stay around Mount Fuji, this is absolutely a high-value choice!
WWiwWe stayed in Villa No. 101, and the view of Mount Fuji from the bedroom was absolutely stunning – we all loved it! The villa was fully equipped with everything we needed, plus complimentary Japanese beer. The check-in process, which is automated via an iPad, could be simplified. It was quite complicated and time-consuming, and the experience became even more stressful when there was a connection error during check-in. Everything else was great, though. It was a wonderful stay for our large family.
GGuest UserThe room is large and the bed is a capsule hotel type. It can accommodate up to 10 people. It is suitable for friends traveling together. But it is a bit far from Kawaguchiko Station. There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. It is quite convenient. There is a kitchen for cooking. The scenery is very good under Mount Fuji.
NNick & ChristineI want to go to Lake Yamanaka. This price is cheap
The since the hotel is relatively old-fashioned, the boss should do it can not do when it will end.
All the equipment has been in the 90s, the heater is using gas, the room is filled with the smell of gasoline when sleeping.
However his breakfast was delicious, try to help the old man. He is very nice
GGuest UserThe room is very big, and it will be no problem for 4 people. We stayed in Room 214, and there was Mount Fuji outside the window. It was a little far from Kawaguchiko Station, about a 10-minute walk? But no problem, it’s nice to take a look at each house’s yard along the way ~ You can also pass by the Initial D internet celebrity check-in point ~ The hotel is on the 2nd floor. It’s a little inconvenient to bring luggage. You have to go upstairs to enter 214. It’s suitable for those who haven’t yet. Buy, buy, buy suitcases~ Registration is all self-service. You can’t find information before 3 o’clock. We arrived 10 minutes early and we can get there as soon as we arrive. The bathroom is public and very clean, so don't worry. The open-air bath we went out for did not take up any resources. The most important thing is that it’s cheap, clean, and big!
