The best mango juice in whole Kenia!!! We stayed in the Ruma River Lodge as a family - felt a warm welcome from the beginning - very authentic and delicious kenian food options, we could even choose what we would like to have - amazing view from the terrace in front of the rooms - amazing fruits and especially the mango juice from their own tree was out of another dimension, so good! - rooms were very clean, soap and everything was provided - nice wooden furniture - really friendly team!!! highly recommend It was a very authentic stay for us (I stayed 4 weeks in a Kenyan family before and this was a very nice transition into lodge life for me, not missing on the good food). I took many pictures because I think the ones that are online right now don’t live up to the coziness of this place! Thank you for everything - we would come back!

Everyone here is so sweet and so kind. I loved Irene's cooking, and scenery is SO BEAUTIFUL. Also the quality of the rooms is perfect, and you have all the accommodations that you need. If you need internet, safaricom/cell service still has good service/signal even though you are in a more rural area. If you're ever in the area, I definitely reccommend staying here!!

INCREDIBLE experience all around from the accommodations, staff, food, and views! All the meals are prepared by Irene and served by Kevin -- we felt very welcomed and at home in their care. Ingredients for the food were grown less than half a mile away and they served us all three meals including tea after the safari we did. Tom (the owner) made sure we had everything we needed as well! It's a peaceful spot with beautiful weather. Beds with mosquito nets, flushing toilets, and showers +towels as well. Highly recommend
