Woodford Bridge Country Club

Newly renovated and good sized rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Particularly liked having a fridge, plates and utensils. The Country Club is located in a very quiet and peaceful area, allowing us to have a much need recharge. We would recommend to our family and friends.

I always try and book a pre Xmas stay somewhere, with my children . I came across Woodford Bridge on a booking site , and it seemed to offer great value for money so I thought why not. There are some positives and negatives which I ll list below. Arrived on a dark and gloomy Tues evening, the roads are not particularly great , potholes galore in the area. In the dark its quite scary roads too, in the middle of nowhere !! Check in was straightforward, nice friendly staff , however I found they have a tendency to talk amongst themselves and leave you waiting for too long before saying " can I help you "? Apartment was very clean , modern and warm. Incredibly happy with the size of it. Easy location to the games room for my boys, which they enjoyed very much, the pool table and table tennis. However the lighting is not great around the steps , and also the warning paint on edges of steps have worn off , so I had to be very careful walking back to apt in the dark. Used swimming facilities , nice , clean , quiet . The other facilities looked good . Went to the pub on site one night. Lovely little place , although totally devoid of atmosphere, hopefully better at weekend when live music on. They definitely need something. Prices of wine extortionate 175ml for 7.25 . I had to contact reception as the seal around the oven was coming off, did this in the morning before we went to atlantic village. On our return it was still hanging off, so had to contact reception again. Although I really liked the apt , there are a couple of improvements needed I feel. Firstly I could not find a chopping board or fish slice in the kitchen. As a single female with 2 children I also did nt feel safe as the apts can be accessed by anyone , there needs to be a key card reader on the entrance to the block , not just the apt door. Overall , it was a nice enough stay but I Don t think we d return. Probably much nicer in the Summer , and more going on in the area

A time share complex selling rooms available on an ad hoc basis. Apartment had a good kitchen, dining are, lounge, separate bedroom and bathroom. Leisure facilities excellent. Location in the middle of very scenic countryside lovely but a drive to nearest town. Room needed a refreshing coat of paint but did not impinge on our stay. Restaurant, bar and small farm shop on site at acceptable cost. Staff very helpful, efficient and friendly.

Great place and lovely location. We were very surprised by how lovely the apartment was the facilities. Great indoor pool and swimming facilities.

we did not eat in your hotel. found the surrounding area very good for meals. room and equipment, very good and heating worked very well. no faults found. excellent value for money

We love Woodford Bridge,this time we had a 1 bed Lodge, very large accommodation and well positioned on site,it had a comfy king size bed,large bathroom with separate shower and the kitchen-was well stocked with utensils,washer and dish washer and on the whole was very clean,the only thing that let it down was the toilet,it did’nt look like it had cleaned for ages, but a bottle of bleach soon sorted that,the only other thing to note was whilst we were there the Bar and Restaurant were closed, and that’s the only reasons I didn’t mark it five stars

Had a lovely stay for my brothers wedding. We had a self catering apartment which was perfect and spacious - the bed was so comfortable. No bath, only a shower - a bath would have been preferable. We also had a club suite which was equally as spacious with separate lounge style area, lovely bathroom and such a comfy bed.

Overall good break, love the location and was very peaceful. We did miss the bar and restaurant but kitchen was equipped quite well so we managed

Enjoyable mini break. Good swimming pool, very quiet when I used it during the week but got busier late afternoon as you would expect
