Super 8 by Wyndham Holbrook

I had an average stay at this hotel. Unfortunately the rooms are quite dated and had quite a musty old smell in the carpets and from the air conditioning unit. In fact I had to turn off the aircon as it was causing some throat and lung discomfort. Furniture and fittings are very old and worn, but the bedding was at least clean and smelled nice. Breakfast is an extremely basic affair here, with some bread, a few cereal options, and some muffins. The positive of this place is that you are well situated close to Petrified Forest National Park which is just a short drive away. I would not stay here for more than one night, but it’s okay just as a place to get a basic nights sleep.

Everything okay. Breakfast also. i’d just suggest another waffle maker. Also a desk chair in the room, would be handy.

They lied in their online information. In their room amenities they list a coffee maker in each room. That is not true and hasn’t been for about 2 years. When I arrived I was told they have coffee available in the lobby. Lie, you can have it before you go to bed but not when you wake up. I get up early and went for some coffee but there was none. I was told I would have to wait 1 1/2 hrs before they would start making any. I was told they have to clean the coffee pot. That must be one intensive pot cleaning. There were other problems with the stay but this was the most irritating.

There was a homeless man in the parking lot talking to himself. The chairs were stained. It was not very clean.
