This is the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in! A luxurious, romantic, small hotel with a direct view of Neuschwanstein Castle. All staff were friendly and welcoming, particularly Jessica. We stayed in the Lohengrin romantic suite which was inspired by King Ludwig II’s love of the story with stars over the bed and a huge bathroom. The bath in the room with a view of the castle was special and unique. We loved the balcony with a direct view of the castle too. Breakfast was delicious - a large selection. This was the perfect hotel for our engagement (my boyfriend proposed on the balcony of Neuschwanstein!), we had celebratory drinks in the beautiful garden of the Hotel Villa Ludwig. When we told the hotel, they left a mini bottle of Prosecco and chocolates in our room. At check out, Jessica gifted us a beautiful heart decoration. Friendly, personalised service in a beautiful, romantic hotel.

Superb hotel. The view os Neuschwanstein from the bath was a total treat. Beautifully appointed room and equally excellent breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for the two castles and the Alpsee, all within walking distance.

davvero una splendida esperienza quella appena conclusasi al Ludwig. Stanze con vista al castello, possibilità di garage sotterraneo, oltre ad una spa. Tutto è curato e il personale disponibile. Da menzionare Sabine, che oltre a conoscere più lingue si è premurata per risolvere qualsiasi nostra difficoltà insorta. Consigliatissimo.

Wow what a location. We stayed two nights. A truly amazing stay, with perfect views of the Neuschwanstein Castle. A warm welcome from the wonderful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Giving us good advice about the area. They booked our restaurant for both evenings. Room very comfortable and made up by housekeeping to a high standard. Walking distance to everything we were doing. Wonderful breakfast selection hot and cold buffet with great selection of drinks. A wonderful stop on our road trip.

Een prachtig hotel in een prachtige omgeving met uitzicht op Schloss neuschwanstein. Het hotel heeft alleen suites die heerlijk ruim en comfortabel zijn. Het vriendelijke personeel het uitstekende ontbijt waren helemaal top. Ze hebben een eigen parkeergarage onder het hotel die in zeer goed staat is en goed in en uit te rijden is met ruime vakken. Wij zouden dit zeker opnieuw boeken.

My family and I stayed two nights at the Hotel Villa Ludwig. We were impressed with the room and hotel and felt that it was one of our favorite places to stay during our 11-day trip to Europe. The view from the Tannhäuser room balcony was amazing! The room was spacious and was kept very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were good and the food was prepared well. The location of the hotel to Neuschwanstein Castle was perfect. We were able to walk into Hohenschwangau in less than 5 minutes to eat, shop, or just walk to the sights. The bus stop (Haltestelle) to the town of Füssen was less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It described an excellent location and rooming, and was even better than described. Our room had a balcony that allowed a direct view of the castle, which was awesome to see. The beds were very comfortable as well. While it did get hot a little bit during our stay, the hotel was able to provide a nice fan for our use. So many nice touches such as a nice charcuterie board for our meal upon arrival and breakfast each morning. The proximity to the village allowed for us to enjoy the sights while walking. Our car was secured safely in their underground parking garage. We did want to call out a particular member of the staff. Jessica. She was present almost the entire time we stayed, and gave us wonderful suggestions into some activities to do in the area. The Tegelbahn Gondola ride up to the top of the mountains can’t be beat. Her hospitality made our stay so much more enjoyable. If/when we are back in the area, Hotel Villa Ludwig would definitely be on our list of accommodations.
