A fuir. Chambre minuscule dans un bâtiment refait à la hâte, sans lampe de chevet sans table, plus de papier toilette le matin, pas de restaurant , les bains chauds ferment très tôt donc on ne peut pas les utiliser.... Je ne comprends pas que les voyagistes le propose encore. Seul le petit petit-déjeuner est correct

L’extérieur du bâtiment m’a fait un peu peur (peinture toute craquelée) mais l’intérieur a été refait à neuf et les chambres comme les salles de bain sont super. Les chambres sont bien chauffées. On peut se garer juste devant avec la voiture

Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres et la literie est très confortable. La salle de bain est grande, ce qui est plutôt rare dans les hôtels islandais. L'accueil est chaleureux et nous avions une chambre avec vue sur le glacier. Hélas, le petit-déjeuner est peu achalandé. Nous sommes restés sur notre faim, c'est la cas de le dire.

Au bout de la route, accueil.sympa.et souriant mais chambre et salle de bain toute petite, à peine la place de poser deux sacs de voyage. Une fenêtre sur la vallée et à droite le glacier à 1 ou 2 km. Petit déjeuner plus que minimaliste en self service ( y compris les couverts). . Aucune raison de faire le detour.

The hotel is okay. It was clean but furniture was a bit torn. The room does not have soap, shampoo or conditioner. Breakfast was cereal, boiled eggs, toast, and fruit. It worked for our one night stay.

A cute hotel by the glacier is definitely a plus. The room did not have a hair dryer and the soap by the shower was on the other side of the sink in the bathroom. Minor things but it was clean and the staff was nice. The hotel was adequate but I would not say it was excellent. I would not mind staying there again.

This was probably the best room and bathroom we had on our entire trip. It was very spacious and clean with a view of the glacier from our window. The location is beautiful and remote so there is no where to walk to eat so plan accordingly. We went to Hofn before checking in to have an early dinner and that worked perfectly! We did have an early morning wake up call with the fire alarm going off but it was very quickly rectified once we had rang the emergency number on the door! Breakfast was okay, basic with only waffles as warm/hot food.

Nothing negative: good welcome, rooms ok, the view of the glacier is superb, the photos are very telling but we are in the middle of nowhere and we don't necessarily want to get back in the car after a day's drive to go eat at Hoffn because there is no longer a restaurant (I say no more because there was one to read the reviews from a few years ago). This is the negative point

Hotel far from everything. We stayed in the main building with a corner room which had 2 wonderful views. No light pollution so we enjoyed the magnificent Northern Lights all evening. Very comfortable rooms with quality bedding. Very friendly welcome, as was the breakfast, certainly less plentiful, but with many homemade products (bread, waffles, jam). The free access to the hot baths just below is very nice!!
