I cannot express enough my thanks and admiration for the time we spent at Sunset Lodge & Safaris. We had a fabulous time. Our hosts, Vincent and Toni were amazing: From the welcome we received the moment we arrived (Toni) to the continuous consideration for our wellbeing. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and fabulous breakfasts, including delicious homemade marmalade. You and your staff's attention to detail was amazing. I also really enjoyed the interaction and chatting with you both (especially Vincent's sense of humor) and watching our evening meal being cooked over the open grill fire while we enjoyed a (delicious wine) sundowner drink. An unexpected bonus was the knowledge and experience you both shared not only about the animals, but also the flora and fauna. We learned so much. For me, a real dream come true, especially the thrilling experience of observing so many animals (ostrich, zebra, giraffes, mongooses, tortoises and many more), that passed by so close up to our "lodge" veranda. it was breathtaking. I took over 900 photos. I would love to return to spend more time with you.

Es war unglaublich schön. Es ist sehr familiär und die Lodge ist super gemütlich und schön. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten Tiere direkt an der Unterkunft ;-) Ich würde jederzeit wieder dahin fahren. Eine super Erfahrung...

Een ontzettende gezellige mooie lodge. Een warm ontvangst en de verzorging is top. Mooie kamers en de dames maken super schoon. It's our second visit to South Africa and once again we’ve booked a stay at this amazing lodge. This time Vince and Toni provided us with the opportunity to experience one of the newly built rooms. We absolute loved the rustic stunning architecture, and the cozy furnishings that blended well to the bush surroundings. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, featuring large windows in the bathroom that offered breathtaking views of the bush. There is also a terrace complete with a braai where you can relax with coffee or snacks, all while enjoying perfect views for wildlife spotting. What we loved most was the outdoor shower. Can’t describe that feeling! With delicious food, gracious hosts and the presence of animals is definitely on our list for the next visit. Axel and Krishna

Alles was geweldig en het fijne was dat we het terrein niet af hoefden. Allereerst was de locatie prachtig en redelijk dichtbij het Kruger Park. In de meeste game lodges ben je afgeschermd van de natuur door hekken, maar hier komen de dieren letterlijk voor je veranda langsgelopen (zebra’s, giraffen, buffels, impala’s en de struisvogel). Daarnaast waren de eigenaren fantastisch, net als de rest van het personeel. Ze waren altijd vriendelijk, vrolijk en je kon ze alles vragen! Vincent en Toni wisten ons alles te vertellen over de dieren, de natuur en de cultuur van Zuid-Afrika en omliggende landen. De games drives op hun eigen terrein waren top! Je kon in overleg verschillende activiteiten doen. Van sunrise tot sunset drives, maar ook bush walks en picknicks. Verder was het eten heerlijk en konden we steeds zelf aangeven hoe laat we wilden ontbijten en dineren. Zowel het ontbijt, als diner waren steeds erg gevarieerd en aangepast op je eigen wensen. Het zwembad was heerlijk ter afkoeling. Er was zelfs een gym. Bovendien was alles duurzaam en zelfvoorzienend (water en elektriciteit). Tot slot was onze kamer erg ruim, had een mooi uitzicht op de tuin en was heel schoon! We voelden ons hier vanaf het eerste moment thuis! We zouden niet zo snel teruggaan naar dezelfde plek, maar Sunset en haar staff zijn zeker een plek om naar terug te keren in de toekomst!

We give this lodge 5 stars. We have stayed in this wonderful lodge in November 2024 and this was thé highlight of our South Africa Trip. The location is great,the rooms are very nice and have the most amazing view at garden where The giraffes, zebras, wildebeasts, warthogs, Ostrich can walk around and come really close. The owners have much knowledge of the animals, birds, plants and trees. We had dinner in the garden with a fire enjoying healthy food and lovely wine chatting with the hosts.

Bij aankomst werden we onmiddellijk verwelkomd door Toni en Vincent. In deze lodge wordt je niet behandeld als klanten maar als vrienden. S'avonds wordt er heerlijk gekookt met een Zuid-Afrikaanse Touch. Ook is het zo leuk om s'morgens bij een lekker uitgebreid ontbijt wilde dieren te spotten. De lodge ligt op een korte comfortabele afstand van Orpen Gate, ideaal om Kruger te bezoeken. Hier komen we zeker nog terug.

Our stay at Sunset was an excellent one. Vincent, Toni and all the staff do everything they can to ensure you’re comfortable and that you make the most out of your stay. They were excellent! Beauty and futures cooking- what can we say- it was delicious and watching your food being prepared and cooked in front of you on an open fire is an experience we won’t forget! The lodge itself is outstanding and we can’t believe how wild it is! We woke up most mornings to giraffe right outside our room, an array of birds and we were even greeted by a herd of buffalo one day. It truly is out of this world and we will definitely be returning!

La struttura è immersa in un parco naturale. Toni e Vincent sono due persone meravigliose. Ci hanno accolto con la loro gentilezza e la loro esperienza donandoci dei consigli preziosi per l'organizzazione degli spostamenti e ottimizzazione del tempo. Colazioni e cene buonissime preparate con prodotti di prima scelta. Ogni sera al tramonto l'aperitivo intorno al fuoco condividendo l'esperienza drl giorno con gli altri ospiti. Un soggiorno che resterà nei nostri cuori.
