The Villa Rothschild impresses with its beautiful historic building and idyllic location in the Taunus Mountains. Check-in, however, was somewhat disappointing – the reception seemed empty, and the only employee on site seemed inexperienced. Despite Marriott Gold status, we were not granted an upgrade, allegedly because they were fully booked, even though the higher category was still available online. This unfortunately did not leave a positive impression. The Tizian Bar is stylishly decorated and offered a good lunchtime snack, even if the service was a bit inexperienced but very attentive. A highlight was the beautiful park, which invites you to take a stroll with a magnificent view of Frankfurt. The room was attractive, but the bathroom was very small. The shuttle service to the sister hotel, whose spa area is truly beautiful and the organization was flawless, deserves special mention. An absolute highlight was the restaurant, where we spent a fantastic evening. Niki's service was particularly outstanding. The prices may be high, but the experience was worth it. Our stay was rounded off by a very good breakfast, although at €84 for two people, it was too expensive. Conclusion: A wonderful weekend getaway in the Taunus Mountains with excellent cuisine, but there's still room for improvement in terms of service and value for money.
