Hampton Inn Chattanooga/Hixson

Stayed here two years ago, and it was your average Hampton Inn, what you’d expect. After this trip, we won’t stay here again. It was not clean. Our bathroom had a dirty toilet (mold inside it and toilet seat was dirty), shower and sink were moldy, and the chair still had crumbs on it. My parent’s room was similar. There was still a used wash cloth in the shower and the shower door didn’t close properly, so water ended up all over the floor. This is a safety concern, especially for the elderly. We told the front desk about the bathroom. When we returned, it appeared that they cleaned the bowl, but the seat was still gross. I wiped it off, easily, but it should have been cleaned with a disinfectant. On a positive note, the rooms were quiet and the bed was comfortable and clean.

We arranged to stay one night on a last minute trip… and were very disappointed in selecting Hampton Inn Chattanooga Hixson. Upon going to our room, it was clean as is routine with the Hampton Inn brand (until seeing three various hairs in the shower). The problem came later, as our neighbors were within their bathroom - we could hear every part of their conversation and activities as they bathed their toddler son! They were not unreasonable with their volume, just that the walls were that thin! We completely felt like it was an invasion of privacy… when we called the front desk to request a change in rooms, we were told the hotel was fully booked and our only option was to leave with no refund. To make matters worse, they were fully aware of the noise issue and have received complaints on this room before (due to adjoining rooms with a door). Staff did come to the room and placed rolled towels between the doors and under the bottom, which did help some, but still seems unacceptable that they don’t find a better long term solution. But we can’t just blame the sound issues on that because the hallway noise was also extremely loud, with no sound barrier (not happy to hear staff talking about the weather around 5 am) and walls shook each time other guests left their rooms and a loud “bang” with each door closing. The bed was also not the best and had an obnoxious squeak from the coils every time we moved. Although we were exhausted and ready to leave the following morning, we were further disappointed in the lack of options for breakfast. We arrived 10 minutes before 9 but maybe breakfast ended at 9 because there was hardly anything left… what little we did have wasn’t very good so we didn’t bother asking for anything more. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this is truly a hotel we would never stay at again and would not recommend to anyone (unless you can sleep through anything).

Arrived to a normal Hampton Inn exterior with complementary parking. The lobby and breakfast area was functional. Room was ready and check in was efficient and personable. Smaller double queen room and bathroom- monochrome decor, reasonable furniture and average lighting and outlets. One piece of art in the room, microwave, refer and forgettable in room coffee. No safe.Complementary internet, small exercise room and small outdoor pool. Medium size flatscreen tv with limited channels, older HVAC, good bed, linens and pillows.One piece of art in bathroom in place of towel racks. Strange situation with no toilet paper holder, just rolls sitting on a shelf. Good enough towels and toiletries. Complementary breakfast was the usual Hampton fare of average quality and variety: egg product, meat, waffles, pastry and bread, fruit, juice and coffee/tea. This house struck me as a baseline Hampton Inn and at an all in price of $157 per night about as expected these days.

This was a very old school hotel, I had to literally sign a paper approving the amount they were charging my car which I thought was really weird and they asked for the make and model of my car which again, was weird but at first glance our room was old but clean but when I pulled back the covers their was hair EVERYWHERE and upon further examination I found little hairs all over the pillow. It was late and I ended up just laying my personal blanket on top of the sheets and pillow. I did say something to the front desk at breakfast and the front desk agent wrote down my room number and about 30 minutes later the Owner called me and apologised and comped my room which was nice, however about 5 minutes after that I heard him right outside my door yelling at one of the housekeepers asking if she like her job and If she wanted to keep it then she needed to clean better and was just being very downgrading and so rude to that poor girl so I would give him a 1 star review but the employees were nice

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clwean, and the breakfast was very good. The price was slightly steep for a Sunday night, but one of the cheaper hotels in the area.

I have stayed here in the past. I was disappointed in my stay on 3/15/23. For $151.25 you would expect things to work properly. The air conditioner was ice cold and sounded like a jet plane taking off each time it kicked on. I finally just turned it off about 2am. Then in the morning I went into the bathroom to shower and the light over the mirror glowed a wierd red orange. When I went to the desk and told the lady about it she was uninterested and said she would tell maintenance. I checked out and changed hotels. I have family in the area but I do not think I will return to this hotel. Not worth the money.
