The minute you walk in, you relinquish your shoes. Everywhere is tatami and so we walk in our socks or indoor shoes, an immediate plus and relaxing moment. Our room was called The Annex. It is apart from the hotel. The Annex is Japanese with tatami and western beds, very comfortable. When we approached the front door, the views off the private garden were gorgeously dramatic mountain cliffs and there are views of other mountains and the stream from the other side of The Annex as well. Spacious and open and extremely comfortable. While many rooms come with a private dining room in the restaurant, the private eating room associated with the Annex also has another private garden with views of the mountains. A small note: All liquids in the frig are complimentary, nice touch! The service was excellent, well trained. The food was delicious even though we have many dietary limits - like no meat, pork, heavy oils. They accommodated our restrictions with delicious, fresh fish and vegetables and fruit. The onsens, even though public access as well, were clean and designed beautifully. We've been to many ryokans this year, mainly in Kyushu since we live here. This onsen had the most beautiful facilities - and the views were drop dead gorgeous. My jaw literally dropped when I saw the view from the onsen with the lounge chairs in the steaming water - and what an amazing onsen that was!!! After much thought, the only downside is the outdoor tub in the Annex, which is really not an onsen since it used chlorinated water and the two of us had to squeeze in. Having said that, we already booked our next stay in the spring and cannot wait to return.

On a day trip bus tour, I stopped by for lunch and bath. It used to be a Kanpo inn, but it was renewed. Lunch is tatami mats, chairs and tables. There is enough space for one person to participate in one table per person. The lava-grilled beef and chicken was delicious. The bath is a self-eruption of about 70 degrees in ”Yunotaki”. There were open-air, sleeping bath, jet bath, inner bath, mist sauna, and drinking fountain, and I was able to stretch my limbs and spend a relaxing time. The store was lined up with geta of Hita, shochu of Oita, and specialty products.

The hotel is located by the river, and the rooms have river views. There is a parking lot outside the hotel. Women who arrive before 8 p.m. can borrow color yukata for free, and children's yukata are also provided. The bathhouse has indoor and outdoor open-air rooms on the top floor; there is a rest space on the basement floor that provides coffee, books and some table games. Facial cleansing and skin care products are also available at the front desk. The morning meal is a self-service Japanese breakfast on the third floor.

10〜I knew that fireworks were going up in the Mikuma River on the weekend of November and stayed to show my 3 year old child. The room was on the river side so I could see fireworks nearby from inside the room. It was only 5 minutes, so we didn't expect much from adults, but it was really good with the power and the number of balls that betrayed the expectation! There seems to be a plan to see from the ship, but we enjoyed it enough from the room. The hotel itself seems quite old, but the room is renewed, clean and spacious and comfortable. However, the toilet bath felt quite old. The meal was only breakfast, but the variety was rich and delicious. Bread, drinks, rice, raw *, etc. were self-free. I didn't have a meal for a 3-year-old child, but I had rice and miso soup, and I had enough adults. The next day, I was doing an event that I could ride for free to tuk tuk, so I tried to ride from front of the hotel. I went to the bean field and returned to the hotel, and both adults and children enjoyed the streets. If you do it, it is recommended. There were many children's toys in the lobby that could be played even for 3 years old. Also, the free service of coffee tea was good because the time was long!

In order to see ”Toda no Machi” in Hita City, which is selected as an important traditional building group preservation district, it is live from Oita Airport by rental car de and Plaza Hotel Fujinoi in front of Hita station (Motomachi, Hita City, Oita Prefecture) Stayed. I used it for a single trip, but the room was large and easy to use. The bath on the upper floor was also comfortable. The Japanese/French meal we had at the hotel's restaurant was top class and the Japanese breakfasts each morning were delicious. After breakfast each morning we were served coffee in the lounge. The tasteful and comfortable lounge was a great place for our group to gather in the evening and share a drink from the fridge there. It certainly contributed to how well our group bonded. What makes this hotel so outstanding, however, is the above and beyond level of hospitality of Mao san and his staff. His level of service was extremely generous and kind - he even picked us up at the station when we returned at 11pm one night and another night walked us to a local restaurant and even ordered food.
