Hotels near Old Miyake Family's House, Hiroshima

We moved to this hostel after an awful stay for the same price on the other side of town. I haven’t got a bad word to say about akicafe apart from that the coffee shop downstairs closes on Tuesday and Wednesday (the two days we stayed!) we eventually got to sample the coffee on the day of check out and it was the best coffee I have had in Japan. The dorms are so well designed in a capsule format with lights, plugs, a fan and lockers all built into your own bunk. It’s so private and you can’t hear anyone else once your in with the curtain shut. The toilet and shower facilities are spotless with all toiletries provided. The station is so close it makes a great base for day trips. All in all a fabulous hostel I would stay here again.

Very easy and convenient to book on Trip.com. Hotel location is very convenient as it is less than 19 minutes walk from the Hiroshima Station. Room was clean and cosy. Reception staff was friendly and helpful.

From the north exit of Hiroshima station, you go down the stairs in front of you on the way and go to the sidewalk on the ground, and when you go over, you go to the other side of Futaba Dori street. A little walk on the sidewalk arrives at the hotel, and there is a hotel entrance ahead of the comedy cherry blossoms on the first floor of the same building. The check-in procedure is manned and the adjustment is a type done by the self machine. The room is not large but compact, but the TV is hard to see when sitting in the chair from the relation of the arrangement, and it is easy to see if sitting in the bed... Unlike other Viain, there is a large bath on the 10th floor at the Hiroshima Shinkansen entrance, and the door opens automatically when the room card is touched by the leader next to the door. There are 21 lockers in the dressing room, but only 14 can be used for corona. There are 8 washing places in the bathroom in the bathroom, the bathtub of the inner bath is large, 7 people 〜 8 people enter, the open-air bath is about 3 people small, there is no sauna and water bath. It was very clean and comfortable because it was a hotel that had a large bath. Disposable body wash towel shaving brush cotton swab was provided, but there was no tissue. Breakfast seems to be taken with a comedy cherry blossom on the first floor, but this time it was a night stay, so the contents were not confirmed. I was able to spend very comfortable with a beautiful building cherry blossom bath.

Room was small but enough for a solo traveller like me. To my surprise, there was even a microwave in the room. Everything was neat and tidy, and the staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. On the top floor, there was a public hot spring bath, but I did not use it. Outside the hot spring bath, there were drinking water fountains and vending machines, one of which dedicated to selling milk and dairy products. You could enjoy the Japanese culture of drinking milk - correct me if I am wrong (at least this was what I learnt from Japanese animes and dramas) - after taking the hot spring. Overall the experience was great.

A really nice modern hotel with clean and stylish rooms although rather compact. Breakfast had a nice selection of Japanese and Western options. The Riverside cafe was still closed following Covid however the hotel is a short walk to Hiroshima Train Station which has a wonderful food hall and there's a Family Mart down the street. Shukkeien Gardens is close by and worth a visit. Service and staff great. Will definitely stay here again.

Very clean and the traffic is very convenient. Just get off at the Yinshanyu Station of Radio and Television. This station can also take Line 2 directly to Miyajimakou. Shopping is also very close, there is a convenience store downstairs, you can store your luggage, you can also help pre-collect your luggage. I stayed in a single room this time. One person and one room are large enough. Everything is new. The public space is also very clean and beautiful. The hotel is also very intimate. There are a lot of lotion lotion cotton pads in the dressing room. The only thing to note is that the door of the single room is just a curtain, and you must be mentally prepared.

Situated only a couple of minutes walk from Hondori shopping street and about 10 minutes walk, depending on if you’re a snail pace walker or someone who walks as fast as an angry mother who’s about to complain to the school board about something, from the Peace Memorial Park lies Santiago Guest House. A hostel that is a bit of a pain to find with it only being sign posted by those hanging signs attached to high rise buildings that are literally everywhere in Japan. With said buildings hosting separate businesses on each floor, it may stress you out finding it but upon entry the stress will go bye bye from its general aesthetically pleasing outlook. A modern and polished looked hostel who’s reception lies right next the common room and kitchen area, giving everyone in there a look at the fresh meat coming in. The common area and reception give a friendly vibe out from the on set with bean bags, couches, two TVs (one with a PlayStation 3) and shelves holding games and cuddly toys for you to spoon like they’re your partner whilst watching a rom com on Netflix. Generally the 6th floor where there is one dorm room and the kitchen and common area is quality. The kitchen is a little small in size but it does the job plus you’re in Japan where bento boxes are a way of life. Plus you can always just jaunt to the local supermarket- Yours- between 8:15 – 8:40pm where the bento boxes, salad and sushi goes half price, which the foreign helpers for free accommodation do pretty much every night. The bedlinen is super soft to sleep on. Nice river views too right in front of my room. Love the location too. Very close to all the attraction I needed to go. We love this hotel very much. Thumb up for this hotel.
