Hotels near Miyashita Park, Hiroshima

We moved to this hostel after an awful stay for the same price on the other side of town. I haven’t got a bad word to say about akicafe apart from that the coffee shop downstairs closes on Tuesday and Wednesday (the two days we stayed!) we eventually got to sample the coffee on the day of check out and it was the best coffee I have had in Japan. The dorms are so well designed in a capsule format with lights, plugs, a fan and lockers all built into your own bunk. It’s so private and you can’t hear anyone else once your in with the curtain shut. The toilet and shower facilities are spotless with all toiletries provided. The station is so close it makes a great base for day trips. All in all a fabulous hostel I would stay here again.

The Sheraton Grand Hiroshima Hotel delivers from beginning to end regarding service and location. I had the chance to stay one night in early June before heading next morning to Okunoshima, and it was highly worth it. Next to Hiroshima Station, this location is a must. In addition, the quality of service provided by each member, either at the front desk or Club Lounge, was excellent. Daisuke in the Club Lounge was helpful and went above and beyond to assist during my stay. Regarding the room, I highly recommend booking a Club Level room or suite. The panoramic views of Hiroshima are amazing, but the room is exceptionally comfortable. I had the chance to stay in a suite, approximately 750 sq. ft., which was quite comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom was spacious, and the bathtub was worth it after a long day or walk in the city. I also recommend the spa facilities in the hotel. If you pay around 1,650 Yen, you can use the pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and cold bath. This is a great activity to relax and disconnect from reality fully. I enjoyed my time there and would return if I had the chance. Overall, it was a great stay, and thankful for the generosity and excellent customer service provided by the team in this hotel.

Very easy and convenient to book on Trip.com. Hotel location is very convenient as it is less than 19 minutes walk from the Hiroshima Station. Room was clean and cosy. Reception staff was friendly and helpful.

A really nice modern hotel with clean and stylish rooms although rather compact. Breakfast had a nice selection of Japanese and Western options. The Riverside cafe was still closed following Covid however the hotel is a short walk to Hiroshima Train Station which has a wonderful food hall and there's a Family Mart down the street. Shukkeien Gardens is close by and worth a visit. Service and staff great. Will definitely stay here again.

Room was small but enough for a solo traveller like me. To my surprise, there was even a microwave in the room. Everything was neat and tidy, and the staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. On the top floor, there was a public hot spring bath, but I did not use it. Outside the hot spring bath, there were drinking water fountains and vending machines, one of which dedicated to selling milk and dairy products. You could enjoy the Japanese culture of drinking milk - correct me if I am wrong (at least this was what I learnt from Japanese animes and dramas) - after taking the hot spring. Overall the experience was great.

Situated only a couple of minutes walk from Hondori shopping street and about 10 minutes walk, depending on if you’re a snail pace walker or someone who walks as fast as an angry mother who’s about to complain to the school board about something, from the Peace Memorial Park lies Santiago Guest House. A hostel that is a bit of a pain to find with it only being sign posted by those hanging signs attached to high rise buildings that are literally everywhere in Japan. With said buildings hosting separate businesses on each floor, it may stress you out finding it but upon entry the stress will go bye bye from its general aesthetically pleasing outlook. A modern and polished looked hostel who’s reception lies right next the common room and kitchen area, giving everyone in there a look at the fresh meat coming in. The common area and reception give a friendly vibe out from the on set with bean bags, couches, two TVs (one with a PlayStation 3) and shelves holding games and cuddly toys for you to spoon like they’re your partner whilst watching a rom com on Netflix. Generally the 6th floor where there is one dorm room and the kitchen and common area is quality. The kitchen is a little small in size but it does the job plus you’re in Japan where bento boxes are a way of life. Plus you can always just jaunt to the local supermarket- Yours- between 8:15 – 8:40pm where the bento boxes, salad and sushi goes half price, which the foreign helpers for free accommodation do pretty much every night. The facility was very clean, and the baths and sauna were relaxing! The complimentary ice cream after the bath and the late-night noodles were also great. The breakfast served included local dishes, and was as great as rumored! I'd like to stay at Dormy Inn hotels all over Japan again. The staff were all very kind and polite.

The bedlinen is super soft to sleep on. Nice river views too right in front of my room. Love the location too. Very close to all the attraction I needed to go. We love this hotel very much. Thumb up for this hotel.

There is a one-way road from the station. There are shopping malls, supermarkets and restaurants near the station. You can go to the Yamato Museum Haizi Museum Pier through the trestle bridge, which is very convenient. The front desk attitude is very good. Older hotel but fairly clean. The windows can be opened for ventilation. The TV is small and there are not many channels to watch. There are only three paid channels and you can’t fast forward. The wifi connection password of the room you stayed in is wrong, but you can connect to other rooms, which is strange.
