Hotels near Miyagase Shrine, Hiroshima

Most of the hotel guests are European and American tourists. Although the restaurant is crowded, it is not noisy. The gym is free to use, but you need to go to the front desk to get a door card. Compared with the spacious gyms in domestic hotels, the gyms in Japanese hotels are mostly too compact, and the equipment is almost seamlessly connected. Although there are IHG InterContinental Hotel member logos everywhere in the hotel, no matter what star rating, there is no trea**ent here, neither room upgrades nor executive lounge access.

Women recommend bringing small things and changing clothes in the room because there is no bag. You can go to the public bath with roomwear and slippers, but you may be able to see through because the dough is thin. Basic cosmetics are only one in the dressing room. It is better to bring this because it is not placed in 々 in the place where the body is washed. There are many convenience stores and restaurants around the hotel.

Situated only a couple of minutes walk from Hondori shopping street and about 10 minutes walk, depending on if you’re a snail pace walker or someone who walks as fast as an angry mother who’s about to complain to the school board about something, from the Peace Memorial Park lies Santiago Guest House. A hostel that is a bit of a pain to find with it only being sign posted by those hanging signs attached to high rise buildings that are literally everywhere in Japan. With said buildings hosting separate businesses on each floor, it may stress you out finding it but upon entry the stress will go bye bye from its general aesthetically pleasing outlook. A modern and polished looked hostel who’s reception lies right next the common room and kitchen area, giving everyone in there a look at the fresh meat coming in. The common area and reception give a friendly vibe out from the on set with bean bags, couches, two TVs (one with a PlayStation 3) and shelves holding games and cuddly toys for you to spoon like they’re your partner whilst watching a rom com on Netflix. Generally the 6th floor where there is one dorm room and the kitchen and common area is quality. The kitchen is a little small in size but it does the job plus you’re in Japan where bento boxes are a way of life. Plus you can always just jaunt to the local supermarket- Yours- between 8:15 – 8:40pm where the bento boxes, salad and sushi goes half price, which the foreign helpers for free accommodation do pretty much every night. Room was small but enough for a solo traveller like me. To my surprise, there was even a microwave in the room. Everything was neat and tidy, and the staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. On the top floor, there was a public hot spring bath, but I did not use it. Outside the hot spring bath, there were drinking water fountains and vending machines, one of which dedicated to selling milk and dairy products. You could enjoy the Japanese culture of drinking milk - correct me if I am wrong (at least this was what I learnt from Japanese animes and dramas) - after taking the hot spring. Overall the experience was great.

A really nice modern hotel with clean and stylish rooms although rather compact. Breakfast had a nice selection of Japanese and Western options. The Riverside cafe was still closed following Covid however the hotel is a short walk to Hiroshima Train Station which has a wonderful food hall and there's a Family Mart down the street. Shukkeien Gardens is close by and worth a visit. Service and staff great. Will definitely stay here again.

The Sheraton Grand Hiroshima Hotel delivers from beginning to end regarding service and location. I had the chance to stay one night in early June before heading next morning to Okunoshima, and it was highly worth it. Next to Hiroshima Station, this location is a must. In addition, the quality of service provided by each member, either at the front desk or Club Lounge, was excellent. Daisuke in the Club Lounge was helpful and went above and beyond to assist during my stay. Regarding the room, I highly recommend booking a Club Level room or suite. The panoramic views of Hiroshima are amazing, but the room is exceptionally comfortable. I had the chance to stay in a suite, approximately 750 sq. ft., which was quite comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom was spacious, and the bathtub was worth it after a long day or walk in the city. I also recommend the spa facilities in the hotel. If you pay around 1,650 Yen, you can use the pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and cold bath. This is a great activity to relax and disconnect from reality fully. I enjoyed my time there and would return if I had the chance. Overall, it was a great stay, and thankful for the generosity and excellent customer service provided by the team in this hotel.

We moved to this hostel after an awful stay for the same price on the other side of town. I haven’t got a bad word to say about akicafe apart from that the coffee shop downstairs closes on Tuesday and Wednesday (the two days we stayed!) we eventually got to sample the coffee on the day of check out and it was the best coffee I have had in Japan. The dorms are so well designed in a capsule format with lights, plugs, a fan and lockers all built into your own bunk. It’s so private and you can’t hear anyone else once your in with the curtain shut. The toilet and shower facilities are spotless with all toiletries provided. The station is so close it makes a great base for day trips. All in all a fabulous hostel I would stay here again.

If you stay at a business hotel with three families, there are many places to add extra beds to the twin room, but this hotel has an adjacent twin room and a double room in the room connectivity There was a connecting room connected by the gingdoor, so it was very comfortable to stay with family 3 people. The bathroom used a large twin room and the toilet used both. Breakfast buffet was not luxurious, but it was a good content for the price. The hotel parking lot is on the 4th floor ～ 8th floor of EKI City Hiroshima opposite the hotel. Going to 1F by B elevator from the parking lot and going out in front of the hotel. Parking fee is 1,200 yen per night and will be paid at the hotel front desk at check-in. It is not a luxurious hotel, but it is located in a good location to access the station, there is also a parking lot, and the accommodation fee and breakfast fee were cheap, and it was able to stay in a clean and relaxing room. I thought it was a very good hotel considering the cost performance.

The Prince Hotel has an unparalleled view of the Seto Inland Sea. The bed is very comfortable and you can relax well during your trip. The family room is large and well designed. Breakfast is on the 23rd floor with a great view and worth enjoying slowly. The free shuttle bus is on time and is basically full. There is a lighthouse next to the hotel, so you can climb a little mountain by the way.
