Situated only a couple of minutes walk from Hondori shopping street and about 10 minutes walk, depending on if you’re a snail pace walker or someone who walks as fast as an angry mother who’s about to complain to the school board about something, from the Peace Memorial Park lies Santiago Guest House. A hostel that is a bit of a pain to find with it only being sign posted by those hanging signs attached to high rise buildings that are literally everywhere in Japan. With said buildings hosting separate businesses on each floor, it may stress you out finding it but upon entry the stress will go bye bye from its general aesthetically pleasing outlook. A modern and polished looked hostel who’s reception lies right next the common room and kitchen area, giving everyone in there a look at the fresh meat coming in. The common area and reception give a friendly vibe out from the on set with bean bags, couches, two TVs (one with a PlayStation 3) and shelves holding games and cuddly toys for you to spoon like they’re your partner whilst watching a rom com on Netflix. Generally the 6th floor where there is one dorm room and the kitchen and common area is quality. The kitchen is a little small in size but it does the job plus you’re in Japan where bento boxes are a way of life. Plus you can always just jaunt to the local supermarket- Yours- between 8:15 – 8:40pm where the bento boxes, salad and sushi goes half price, which the foreign helpers for free accommodation do pretty much every night. We stayed in Hotel Vista for 2 nights, it was around a 7-10 minute tram ride on the 1,2 or 6 tram and a 5 minute walk to get there from Hiroshima station. It is situated a couple of minutes away from the main shopping area and a 15 minute walk from the Atomic Dome. The room was well sized, clean and comfortable, the staff were also friendly. This is the perfect place to base yourself in Hiroshima.

Quiet location and calm atmosphere. The facilities are well equipped and the bathrooms and toilets are clean. The air-conditioning temperature adjustment is also very good, and the bed is very comfortable to sleep on. My body always hurts in hotels, but the bed in this hotel is sober. , go up to Shinhokutori Station, right to Hiroshima Station, lower to Hondori Shopping Street, lower to Hiroshima Bus Center, left to Hiroshima City. The lounge on the top floor is also available at 々, and 1F has a few French restaurant OZAWA in Hiroshima, and until recently, there should have been a lot of domestic and foreign customers. A really nice modern hotel with clean and stylish rooms although rather compact. Breakfast had a nice selection of Japanese and Western options. The Riverside cafe was still closed following Covid however the hotel is a short walk to Hiroshima Train Station which has a wonderful food hall and there's a Family Mart down the street. Shukkeien Gardens is close by and worth a visit. Service and staff great. Will definitely stay here again.

Very easy and convenient to book on Trip.com. Hotel location is very convenient as it is less than 19 minutes walk from the Hiroshima Station. Room was clean and cosy. Reception staff was friendly and helpful.

Room was small but enough for a solo traveller like me. To my surprise, there was even a microwave in the room. Everything was neat and tidy, and the staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. On the top floor, there was a public hot spring bath, but I did not use it. Outside the hot spring bath, there were drinking water fountains and vending machines, one of which dedicated to selling milk and dairy products. You could enjoy the Japanese culture of drinking milk - correct me if I am wrong (at least this was what I learnt from Japanese animes and dramas) - after taking the hot spring. Overall the experience was great.

If you stay at a business hotel with three families, there are many places to add extra beds to the twin room, but this hotel has an adjacent twin room and a double room in the room connectivity There was a connecting room connected by the gingdoor, so it was very comfortable to stay with family 3 people. The bathroom used a large twin room and the toilet used both. Breakfast buffet was not luxurious, but it was a good content for the price. The hotel parking lot is on the 4th floor ～ 8th floor of EKI City Hiroshima opposite the hotel. Going to 1F by B elevator from the parking lot and going out in front of the hotel. Parking fee is 1,200 yen per night and will be paid at the hotel front desk at check-in. It is not a luxurious hotel, but it is located in a good location to access the station, there is also a parking lot, and the accommodation fee and breakfast fee were cheap, and it was able to stay in a clean and relaxing room. I thought it was a very good hotel considering the cost performance.

The Sheraton Grand Hiroshima Hotel delivers from beginning to end regarding service and location. I had the chance to stay one night in early June before heading next morning to Okunoshima, and it was highly worth it. Next to Hiroshima Station, this location is a must. In addition, the quality of service provided by each member, either at the front desk or Club Lounge, was excellent. Daisuke in the Club Lounge was helpful and went above and beyond to assist during my stay. Regarding the room, I highly recommend booking a Club Level room or suite. The panoramic views of Hiroshima are amazing, but the room is exceptionally comfortable. I had the chance to stay in a suite, approximately 750 sq. ft., which was quite comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom was spacious, and the bathtub was worth it after a long day or walk in the city. I also recommend the spa facilities in the hotel. If you pay around 1,650 Yen, you can use the pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and cold bath. This is a great activity to relax and disconnect from reality fully. I enjoyed my time there and would return if I had the chance. Overall, it was a great stay, and thankful for the generosity and excellent customer service provided by the team in this hotel.

Good points: 1. Location is amazing since it’s right on the island and everything is within walking distance. 2. We had breakfast and supper included in the stay. Food was varied and plentiful for most palates. Plenty of fruit and veg too. 3. Staff for 98% of the time was great. Language barriers are expected. Google translate is a perfect alternative to the translation issue. The front desk staff were awesome and was extremely helpful. 4. Room is spacious for a traditional Japanese hotel. We had our own onsen which was delightful. The beds were mostly comfortable and we had two full mattresses pushed together creating a massive king! 5. Once you enter the hotel you must take off your shoes and the hotel provides house slippers which generally fit most people. The lobby has shoe cubbies for your shoes. They do not lock, but Japan has very little petty theft so you don’t need to fret over potential thievery. Negative points: 1. This is of no fault of the hotel, rather it’s a Google maps problem. Be aware Google maps will basically have you climb the mountain and drag your suitcase through a dirt path. Instead put in the Miyajima post office and with the water to your right, turn up to the small road with the post office to your back. Keep going straight for about 2.5 city blocks and you’ll walk right into the hotel. Much easier than the 40 minute hike we took. 2. Restaurant staff on the whole were great. Only issue was this morning when we went to breakfast this morning and tried to sit in our usual table, the staff tried to sit us with some other people. I asked if we could sit at a different table and the individual said no and walked away. We didn’t know these people they tried to sit us with. However, they were tourists like us. I was frustrated because the staff member just walked away from us when I was still speaking to him. Very rude! 3. The toilet room smelled really bad. It was a combination of mold and chemicals.
