Because of the unpredictable weather during the Hirosaki cherry blossom season, we had to book another branch of Roo-Yak in the face of the skyrocketing room rates. The location of the Hirosaki branch is quite good, while the Joto branch is far away. It costs about 1,100-1,200 yen to take a taxi from Hirosaki Station. The breakfast was great. The communal bath on the first floor was great. The room was good, and even the price was reasonable for cherry blossom season in Hirosaki. The only downside is the location - it is some 25 minutes away from Hirosaki station on foot, and 40 minutes away from the castle which is probably going to be your main destination in Hirosaki. Still a good value for its money.

I booked this hotel after going to see the cherry blossoms at Hirosaki Castle. There were convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and the hotel was clean and I was satisfied. The business hotel's breakfast buffet was also good.

Overall, I was very satisfied, but the rice at the breakfast buffet was hard, which was disappointing. The part that was exposed to the air had dried out and was so hard that it was difficult to eat. Another thing was that the teacups for roasted green tea were gone, so when I asked the staff for some, they told me to use paper cups to drink water from. I managed to hold it with my hand, but it was quite hot and felt dangerous. I wish they had been a little more considerate, especially since the menu was good.
