The Pear Tree Inn & Country Hotel

A charming countryside Hotel with excellent views over Worcester. first impressions, a big beautiful hotel with lots of grounds. After reading some of the reviews was a bit apprehensive but I think it’s a nice hotel rooms are spacious nice big bed we had something to eat in the restaurant, which is called Gurkhas country bar and grill the service excellent food tasted great highly recommended the mixed grilled yum. Reasonably price drinks and food. Give this hotel a go it clean tidy very pleasant staff with great food.

I agree with recent reviews that say the venue is tired and in decline. Our stay was fine in that our rooms were clean. but very tired and sparse. Bed a bit hard for us, but sheets well laundered. Its the rest that was decidedly average. The buildings and rooms need serious upgrading. The food offer is generic Indian which was tasty enough but not for every night. Very fee people there and there was no separate bar lounge… just a tea room which was closed when we were there. It advertises its offer as a wedding venue. There are so many better options I would venture.

Had lunch here the other day. Place was empty, no atmosphere and no staff around initially. Couldnt be bothered to find anywhere else so sat down and ordered. I cant think of anything nice to say about the food, and I know what im talking about. Its not even reasonably priced, go there-see for yourself...

Beautiful surroundings and a very nice hotel. The restaurant has delicious Indian food and the reception was friendly and helpful and the room had absolutely everything you need. It was spacious and very clean. Would definitely recommend this place.

The hotel has so much potential, it’s just been left to rack and ruin. The grounds could be amazing, but can’t even be bothered to cut the grass. Rooms are tired, need a really good upgrade. Bed is very uncomfortable and mattresses need replacing , as do the pillows. Place is tired in general, needs modernising. Breakfast - not great, cheap ingredients. They have opened a new restaurant on site, we did not visit. All in all, very poor which is shame as location is fantastic and with right ownership and some investment has potential to be great.

Rooms are small, basic and very dated - everywhere is in need of major update and renovation - this is a beautiful building that has been allowed to decay which is such a shame - it could be a gem in Worcestershire if the owners showed it some love and attention.

Sadly would not return. Certain members of staff were either rude or very unapproachable. A real shame for the few that were amazing. The room we stayed in was very small and basic. Could not fit a wardrobe in and only had a very small rod to hang our clothes on. The bed was also very small, too little for 2 adults to sleep in. The bathroom/shower was tiny. Very disappointed with changes made after spending such a huge amount of money. Beautiful location but would not recommend here at all. A very expensive venue. What a disappointment.

Stayed while on a course in Worcester - arrived while there was clearly a large party occurring. Nobody at reception, rang the numbers on the sign and no answer. Eventually somebody came to check me in. My room was dated, smelled musty and had mould in the bathroom and the vents were caked in dust. There was little to no hot water and the bathroom was dated. We went to the restaurant, which had no customers except us. I got a diet coke, which was flat and tasted of chemicals. The menu itself was limited, and the paper covered in stains and we didn't feel comfortable eating there so left to eat at another restaurant. Myself and a colleague decided to leave and stay in a Holiday Inn nearby - all we wanted was a good bed and a hot shower. To top it off, the fire alarm went off twice and there was multiple cars revving loudly in the car park. Children were running around shouting outside our rooms and it seemed like there was no respect for paying guests. To charge £100 for a room that is so scruffy is shocking - the furniture is uncomfortable and dated, the rooms are dirty and the hotel is unwelcoming. We would have mentioned our complaints to the staff but there was nobody to be seen, except groups of males sat in the lobby. Wouldn't waste your money when there's plenty of nicer hotels nearby!

In trying to sleep I heard a persistent moaning next door and then a boisterous drilling, I hope it was a hetrosexual couple having sex and not another geofreyy dahma episode... After Asking the hotel for extra pillows the staff/help came to my room and feriously beat me up choking me with the one pillow I had, they also turned the heating up to max and locked me In my room while saying "no refunds" ... Give this one a swerve of I was you
