Beautiful hotel, lovely friendly staff, comfortable clean room with new upgraded decor and great facilities, relaxing and easy access to parks, the hotel needs more staff to cater to guests as there are not enough staff members to accommodate the amount of guests especially when it is dinner time, some food was served cold but only on certain days so I am assuming they have different chefs for some days, as mostly the food was perfect and amazing!

Fantastic food. Waitress Natasha was brilliant, so friendly, pleasant & helpful. She made the evening even more special, thank you Natasha for your attention & being so helpful, you are an asset to this restaurant.

Birthday meal, we had main and pudding. I had chicken duo, hubby had belly pork. Waitress couldn't raise a smile, my chicken was overcooked, dryish and chewy. Cucumber ribbons were warm, don't know if they were meant to be warm or whether my plate had been too long on the pass waiting for hubby's meal to be cooked, either way warm Cucumber is really odd, hubby had 2 slices of carrot on his plate with the pork and mash, for the price the meal was small, he enjoyed his though. We had mini pud and coffee, £7 for a slither of bakewell tart, I know the menu said mini but £7 is too expensive for what was served! Service really slow, yes it was busy but at one point another waitress talking past our table felt obliged to apologise for the delay! It was meant to be a special meal for a special birthday, but sadly it wasn't so special really. Disappointing.

We went today 17th July 2025 for my birthday lunch, nice welcome going in by one lady think maybe restaurant manager or something but when the waitress came to ask what drinks we wanted she couldn't raise a smile, it was ages before she came back to take our order then even longer for the food to actually arrive. We didnt have starters. I had duo of chicken. My chicken was dry and chewy, I had problems cutting it and nearly asked for a steak knife, there was ribbons of cucumber next to the rice, this was warm which was most peculiar, I wondered if my plate had been waiting on the pass for a while awaiting my husband's belly pork which would explain how dry and overcooked the chicken was and maybe the warm cucumber and wierd warmish salad/relish, though if it was meant to be warm it would not be my choice. We had mini pud with coffee afterwards, the pud certainly lived up to its name of mini, it was a slither at most and definitely not worth £7 each for mini pud and coffee! My husband enjoyed his pork belly though the portion was small for the price, veg consisted of 2 slices of Carrots with the mash. Service was extremely slow, a different waitress served some of the meal who was more pleasant and she felt obliged to apologise at one point about how long our main course was taking. Yes the place was busy, but we had only 2 courses, arrived about 1.15ish and didn't leave until it was nearing 4 oclock ish! I had eaten the same dish there previously a few months before and it was much more enjoyable, but this time was disappointing, especially as it was a meal for a special birthday. The waitress asked if we would give a review and give them 5 stars!! To get 5 stars you have to do better!

Always feel so welcome. It has comfy beds, lovely breakfast and such friendly staff. Lisa is so friendly and great with advising us of local places to visit, even remembered us from our previous stay. Bar staff are also friendly and make a nice cocktail, which went down well after a long day out exploring. Will stay again soon

The staff at the hotel were great but when you are staying overnight it is sleep quality that matters. Our room was on the top floor on a hot May night. No air conditioning and the windows were painted shut and impossible to open. Even with the fan provided the room was impossibly hot and sleeping was poor. The hotel has recently been refurbished but you really must sort out this problem. Breakfast good. Place clean.

From check in to check out we had a great experience in this hotel ,the room was clean very comfortable and the decor lovely. The food was good we had breakfast every day tried something different on the 3 day stay and all were excellent, we also had lunch on one occasion on the garden patio and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and noting was to much trouble, I have stayed at this Hotel before and returned because I was very happy with my choice,I will certainly be returning again. Keep up the good work Himley .
