We stayed for 4 nights in October/November as our daughter was working at nearby Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg. There was very heavy rainfall and resulted in a leak in the bedroom. We were moved several times on the older side of the building, which was oozing in charm, but the other rooms had leaks too. On speaking with the Manager the next morning, she was just amazing and apologized profusely and offered us a free upgrade and refunded us for our last 2 nights as an apology. That was beyond a gesture and we hugely appreciated it. We made sure we ate at the hotel to give back to the hotel for their kindness. We loved the big open roaring fires and particularly enjoyed the bar food sitting by the fire. We absolutely loved staying at the ANEW Hilton. We loved everything about it. Thank you so sincerely - the Nolan family for Dublin - Ireland

I had an awesome stay over at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great. I only stayed one night but would definitely return there if I happen to be in the area again.

Lovely hotel with aesthetically pleasing views. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Only confusion is that rooms are a bit like a maze so if you have a bad sense of direction you may get lost. Welcoming and helpful staff.

Excellent visit from start to finish, from the initial booking query right up to the time of departure. The staff are absolutely helpful, friendly and efficient with beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.

I can recommend this hotel and specifically the friendly staff. It was difficult to work in the rooms and i suggest that the hotel assist guest to a place where they can work.
