In our opinion, this particular Embassy Suites was not up to the usual standards. Our room was a weird setup. The bathroom had no space to put things down on sink area, no shelves anywhere. The sheer curtains were literally torn to shreds as if some animal jumped to the window and had claws rip them, no clock in the room by the bed, extremely loose to non-functioning outlets next to the bed - but of course this isn't realized until after 10pm. We did mention the curtains shortly after we saw our room to another polite front desk woman. A bright spot was the woman who checked us in. I wish I had her name. Very pleasant. The staff at breakfast were so efficient clearing tables and keeping food items replenished and the area cleaned. A car is needed, nothing close by for walking. A disappointment was upon checkout when we tried to mention the issues regarding curtains, no clock and loose outlets was they were brushed off and fell on deaf ears by the woman who we believe was a manager? While we knew there was a $12 charge for parking - we do not understand why this has to occur... It's a parking lot.

I stayed one night while in the area on business. The room was clean, spacious, and modern. It was an updated version of the standard Embassy Suites. I had the Philly Cheesesteak for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying it. I didn’t have time to try breakfast, so not too sure there. The happy hour was pretty decent. Overall, a really good stay.

Update: The hits keep on coming at this property. Embassy Suites Hillsboro will change your reservation on a whim. At first it was just my reservation that Embassy Suites moved to another property without notifying me. Now three members of our group have been moved to another Hilton property without warning and were only notified upon arrival at the Embassy Suites. The reservations were made approximately one month prior to arrival. Please consider this when booking for a group or family travel. You could end up in our situation, where our group specifically booked at Embassy Suites to coordinate meetings and local travel together. Embassy Suites will separate you and move you to another property. Perhaps you will be traveling with your family, and you book at Embassy Suites for the room configuration you need. Then without your knowledge or consent, upon arrival after a long day of travel, you and your family are moved to another property and end up in a room with one bed and a minifridge. Embassy Suites will graciously allow you to use their amenities that you originally booked, but don't expect anything else to make up for the inconvenience. In fact, the attitude conveyed is that you should feel lucky they allowed you to have a bed anywhere. Do not take the chance. Book elsewhere and avoid Hilton properties, at least in the Hillsboro/Portland area. Original Post: Guest beware, especially if planning group travel. Hilton changed my reservation to another property without my consent or knowledge. I booked through Hilton as an Honors member approximately one month prior to my intended stay. I was traveling with a group of colleagues from a variety of organizations to meet and collaborate in the Hillsboro area. I directed everyone to stay at the Embassy Suites for coordination purposes. Upon arrival (after cross-country travel), I was informed that I was being moved out of the Embassy Suites to another Hilton property. There was no prior warning and minimal recognition of the inconvenience caused. I asked how is it even possible for Hilton to move a reservation secured a month prior to another property on the day of arrival. The front desk manager responded with a shrug and vague answers. Management at the Embassy Suites and at the property I was moved to treated me as an inconvenience. My attempts to resolve this with the front desk staff at the Embassy Suites were met with indifference. I will be directing my team to avoid Hilton properties. I've never had something like this happen in years of travel. If you're planning for a group, I would suggest a Marriott property.

This is a fairly newer hotel and did not expect the experience I had. To start with my daughter was excited to use the pool so we go down and find a cold, dirty pool area. Towels everywhere on the floor and chairs, but no clean ones. The water is a dark green that looks like a swamp, with a weird smell. There is a shallow area with seats that were so dirty. Not sure how this is even open with the way the water looked. Now to the room, so many things didn’t work or were dirty. Turn on the entry light with the switch and it’s burned out. Lights in the bathroom three out of the four work. The lights that work through out the room have a glass cover and are full of dead bugs. The TV in the bedroom has a line through the middle with the top being darker than the bottom. I called the front desk, and maintenance comes up and says TV is getting old we will replace it in the morning cool glad you’re not fixing it for my stay. Floor by the bath tub has what looks like black mold growing on the grout. The bathroom door has a water line with some kind of brown stain. When we went to check out I was going to let the front desk know about our stay, but apparently they don’t staff the desk. They have a box to drop off keys. Worse hotel ever.

The hotel was amazing with friendly staff and luxurious accommodations. Our anniversary trip was great with a trip to Beaverton for the Singing Christmas Tree and dinner at Ringside! Having Hwy 26 right outside our window---we didn't get a minutes sleep! We were so hungover (not from drinking as we don't drink) we had a hard time driving home.

Very nice hotel. Suite was clean, large, had all the usual ammenities and was very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Cooked breakfast was available as was a buffet. The scrambled eggs were delicious. Nice variety of fresh fruit. On site restaurant. Full bar. It's not really convenient...no other restaurants within walking g distance so a personal vehicle or ride share is needed to get to and from.

Nice, newer facility with adequate rooms. Breakfast is good but it seemed like current or former staff eat breakfast there so most of the dining room attendants were busy with small talk rather than helping guests. Biggest let down was that the pool, while “open”, was freezing because the heater was not operating. This felt like a con because we’d specifically selected this particular property for the pool. We had checked the website and even called before booking to ensure that the pool was open. It’s “open” but it’s also ~55 degrees (f). The kids were disappointed as were we. Won’t be back I don’t think.
