Great location. The cabins could use some updating on decor and structure, and they mentioned that they are planning this. The staff is very friendly and we joined them at the outdoor bar and visited. The beds were comfortable. Overall we had a good time.

Stayed in the motel. Ok. Cabins would be better if had a larger group. NO hot tub. (Shown in pictures on travel advisor) easy walk to Main Street. Not a lot of parking but owner accommodating with our trailer.

My husband and I had the privilege of staying in Cabin 4 over Memorial Day Weekend. We arrived early and our room was ready to go and we were allowed to enjoy it early. It was a beautiful cabin with great amenities for a fun weekend get away. We also appreciate that we were able to travel with our two dogs and i think they had as much fun as we did. It was so close to the main street where there was great dining and people watching. We will definitely be back.

On February 14, 2022, I made reservations for Cabin #2 for June 10th - June 12th. On June 3rd my wife injured her back and we had to cancel our trip. I emailed Shane to cancel. He said if he rented the unit out for those days he would refund my deposit (I did cancel 4 days after no refunds and it was only 6 days notice not the 14 required). Shane knew this when he said he would refund my deposit if he rented the unit. He did rent the unit for those 3 days. After 6 weeks and 27 emails back and forth Shane said he “considers the matter closed”. I did not get my refund.

This was a perfect little cabin for us! It is so close to town that we always walked down for dinner. It was nice not to have to drive and find parking. The new owner is nice and he helped us get the tv up and running since the connection was down when we arrived. They have a hot tub, grill and a fire pit which we did not use. The town is very small and quiet so if you are looking for night life this is not the place. It was perfect for us for a couple of nights and is very close to Crazy Horse Memorial and Mount Rushmore.

Really enjoyed our stay in Cabin 3. Nice shady deck that caught the breeze in front under towering pines was our favorite feature, and the kitchen, bedroom, and bath were well-stocked, very clean, and comfortable. There’s an A/C unit, but we didn’t need to use it, as the screened windows and front door kept fresh air coming through. The cabins are 3 blocks off the main road through Hill City, so nice and quiet. There are rocky treed hills behind and in front, so we didn’t feel like we were in town, but we were conveniently located for driving to restaurants and all the Black Hills scenic spots. Saw wild turkeys, rabbits, and a doe with her fawn while sitting on the deck.
