Hotel in paradise. Absolutely loved our stay at the Roman Beach hotel. Perfect location just out of the hustle and bustle but walking distance to Hikkaduwa town and Turtle beach. Hotel staff so friendly and welcoming. Mr Supun the chef and assistant manager was exceptional. His culinary skills amazing taking the time to suggest and prepare bespoke dishes some of the best we had throughout our holiday across Sri Lanka. Sugarth made sure everything was perfect for a day round the pool a lovely funny gentleman. Warna the manger took time to chat and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Truly a great team would definitely recommend and would love to return. Only 6 rooms which makes it a friendly home from home. Don’t hesitate to book Thank you

We stayed at Roman Beach for three nights after a tour around Sri Lanka. The hotel is small very boutique staff with very pleasant food. Very good cleanliness needs to be appalled to rooms but most of all their grounds were in that kept immaculate and the staff were great.

This hotel was our first stop in Sri Lanka to get acclimated to the weather and the time difference and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. What stood out most was the size of the rooms, the cleanliness of the premises (thanks to Akalanka, Deep and Sugath), and the devotion of the employees, especially Ravidu and Surangi! Everyone was welcoming and extremely helpful. They didn’t hesitate to give good recommendations of what to do or where to go, like the nice receptionist and the kind manager. The food was another highlight of this hotel that everyone should experience! It was simply amazing and they were very accommodating of any special requests we had in this regard. We recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to Sri Lanka and wants to experience Hikkaduwa.

Wir haben wunderbare Tage im Roman Beach Hotel verbracht. Das Küchenteam hat uns mit Köstlichkeiten zum Frühstück und Abendessen verwöhnt, Höhepunkt war ein Candlelight-Dinner am Strand! Ein unvergesslicher Abend! Das Serviceteam Ravidu und Surangi haben uns mit ihrem aufmerksamen Service, ihrer Freundlichkeit und Höflichkeit begeistert, der Poolbereich wird von Sugath bestens betreut, alles tiptop gepflegt und einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Das Zimmerservice mit Akalanka und Deep sorgt mit absoluter Sauberkeit und mit liebevollen Dekorationen, dass man mit einem Lächeln ins Zimmer kommt. Von der Dame in der Rezeption wurden wir ebenfalls in allen Belangen unterstützt. Auch der Hotelmanager kümmert sich sehr aufmerksam um die Gäste. Ich reise sehr viel, bin aber selten auf so viel Freundlichkeit getroffen, ohne dass diese aufdringlich wirkt. Ich kann dieses Hotel ohne Einschränkung empfehlen!

We had a very nice and personal stay at the Roman Beach Hotel. The small-scale hotel is located in the lee of the main road. The friendly staff likes to make guests feel at home whenever possible. Fresh fruit juice on arrival as a welcome drink. In the room, with sea view, everything is there. Space for the suitcase, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, safe etc. The towels decorated in a special way. The chef, Supun, comes to ask about your wishes. As a vegetarian, I can really appreciate that. A man with a lot of experience! The pool is lovingly maintained daily by Sugath. He takes care of the garden and is ready with the pool towels as soon as you want to lie down. Varna, the manager is very friendly and willing to have a chat and think along with you.

We hebben een geweldig goed verblijf gehad in Hotel Ekho in Ella. Behalve een persoonlijk welkom, een fantastisch uitzicht, een jacuzzi in de buitenlucht, verse bloemen en gedecoreerde handdoeken op de kamer werden we op en top verzorgd door Priyantha. Niets was hem teveel. Op een van de dagen werd de tuin omgetoverd tot een uitgebreid buffet onder het genot van levende muziek. We hebben genoten! Dank jullie wel voor je gastvrijheid en alle goede zorgen.
