Only the worst place I have stayed in Sri Lanka. German lady who owns the property, don’t expect true Sri Lankan hospitality their. She doesn’t allow local people to book the hotel. People who worked their treated as slaves and pay 1500 lkr per day no food. You get unfiltered water, dirty towels plus there is no tea bags anything or cattle in the room. Beds are quite high, our washroom was blocked. We had stressful situation all the time.

Peaceful oasis staffed by lovely people . The large pool complete with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas is a beautiful way to enjoy the relaxation of this property with its fantastic gardens . Rooms are as described large tastefully decorated with great air con and a fridge . The massive bathroom has a full body shower with sprays that come out at all angles breakfast is a delight with coffee / tea / fresh juices / lovely bread and choice of pancakes or eggs . The pancakes are delicious filled with fresh fruit . I would highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay . Tuk tuks to town are only 500 Sri Lankan rupees and it’s about 5 minutes .

Vor einem Jahr hatte ich schon einmal das Glück, dieses phantastische Haus und seine wunderbare Gastgeberin Kerstin und Managerin Taranga kennenzulernen. Ich wollte in diesem Jahr unbedingt wiederkommen, denn es ist ein Haus zum Wohlfühlen, Runterkommen und Genießen. Die Einrichtung ist stilvoll, modern, kunstvoll, landestypisch und immer mit dem gewissen Etwas. Die sympathische Begrüßung am Morgen mit Tee, Bananen und einem freundlichen Gespräch lassen den Tag gleich gut beginnen. Neben dem leisen Surren der Ventilatoren und dem Lachen aus der Küche sind die Vogelstimmen aus dem Dschungel die einzigen Geräusche. Einfach herrlich! Ich komme wieder - ganz gewiss.

Wir wissen gar nicht wo wir anfangen sollen. Ambiente, Service, Qualität der Zimmer, Kommunikation, Lage, Pool, Essen-＞ einfach perfekt! Wenn ihr auf der Suche nach Ruhe und nach einer ästhetischen und authentischen wohlfühloase abseits des großen Trubels, aber nicht zu weit weg vom Geschehen seid, dann seid ihr hier richtig. Tharanga wird euch am Empfang willkommen heißen und euch rundum versorgen, da ich etwas krank war, bin ich sofort mit allem nötigen versorgt worden, wir brauchten ein Shuttle zum Flughafen, kein Problem! Das Frühstück ist fantastisch und wir wurden sogar in ein eigentlich teureres Zimmer gebucht ohne dafür bezahlen zu müssen. Leider haben wir diesen Ort erst zum Ende unserer Reise entdeckt, sonst wären wir sehr gerne länger geblieben. Eines ist für uns aber klar: wir kommen wieder! Danke für alles!

Wir hatten einen unvergesslich fantastischen Urlaub im Tropical House. Unser Aufenthalt war in jeder Hinsicht top: - elegant geräumige Suite - Terrasse mit Liegen und Hängematte - grosser Pool - gepflegter tropischer Garten - aufmerksames herzliches Personal - familiäre Atmosphäre - hauseigene traditionelle Küche - Ayurveda Massagen Man wacht mit der Natur und Vögelrufen auf, bekommt zum leckeren Frühstück mit immer frischem Obst, Smoothie, Pankakes oder Eiern auch immer ein freundlich herzliches Lächeln vom Personal , genießt vllt vorher schon ein paar Runden im herrlich sauberen Pool, danach eine WohlfühlMassage. Zum Sonnenuntergang geht’s dann an den belebten 800m entfernten Strand mit tollen Beachbars und Restaurants - entweder zu Fuß oder wie wir gerne mit dem Tuk Tuk. Wir haben aber auch oft ‚Zuhause‘ gegessen , denn hervorzuheben ist das traditionelle Curry von Tharanga der Köchin oder die geschmackvollen Gerichte mit täglich marktfrischem Fisch oder Meeresfrüchten . Die Eigentümerin Kerstin kümmert sich persönlich und sehr herzlich um alle Gäste und hilft mit Tips zu Ausflügen, Restaurants und allen aufkommenden Fragen. Unsere zwei Wochen sind wie im Flug vergangen und wir möchten Kerstin sowie Ihrem gesamten Team für diese wunderschöne Zeit danken in der sich unser Körper und Geist vollkommen erholt hat. Le Tropical house est un véritable paradis, l’environnement est sublime, calme, les chambres y sont très grandes et luxueuses, le service est parfait et les petits déjeuners top. C’est un excellent endroit pour se relaxer. A tester absolument 👍

We stayed at the Tropical House as closure of a two week visit at Sri Lanka with the intention of relaxing and enjoying the last few days in the beautiful country. And relaxing it was. Besides the beautiful and clean rooms, the building itself, the quietness, the private swimming pool and nature, there were also the very lovely people welcoming us and taking care of us. The beach is about 15’ walk from The Tropical House and lets you enjoy a bit extra of the nature and surroundings. I can only recommend this place.

We got two rooms: one double and one triple. The triple room was awesome and very spacious. It was calm, quiet, and relaxing. Our 2-year-old loved the room and the garden. We had rice and curry for lunch, and it was the best—the food was great! This is a very nice place to relax and hang out with your family. The only issue we had was with the pool. It starts at 5 ft deep and goes up to 6 ft. If you’re of average height and cannot swim, you can't really enjoy the pool. Also, there is no kids' pool, so we had to sit on the steps with our son for him to enjoy his pool time. I wish they had a proper kids' pool. Additionally, I wouldn't recommend their double room. It was not as spacious as the triple room, and there was a very inconvenient column in the middle. The bed was also too high, about 4 ft, making it difficult to sit on. We had to literally jump to get on the bed, which was not safe for our child. Other than that, the stay was nice.
