I’ve stayed here for business several times now, and the service is consistently excellent- from the front desk to the cafe and everywhere in between. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. Definitely my go-to when in Hickory!!

Our shower had hair all over the wall and used soap left in the shower. The pillows were very uncomfortable and made it difficult to sleep. No free water , cost $7. No free breakfast in weekends. Last few stays at Marriot have been less than satisfactory. When I reported the bathroom to the front desk, all I received was “Sorry”

I love Marriott properties, so much so that I will pay more for a place to stay when there are cheaper alternatives, like a Hilton or IHG in the same parking lot. It is frustrating to see Marriott chains that miss the mark. The location is perfect for getting to the main attractions in Hickory. The lobby is updated and modern. The rooms are a typical Courtyard. The bad news is that the bed was dirty, and the sheets were stained. By the time we crawled into bed at 1130, there was no help available. Luckily, we were able to grab a fresh set of sheets from the front desk. The AC was wonky and didn’t work through the night. We slept only 5 hours, but we kept waking up sweating. It's not worth the $200 a night charge.

There was no hot water to take a shower and the food offering in the Bistro was so limited and they were out of even what was on the menu.
