Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort

This property is beautiful. Very clean. The staff is amazing. I truly give the service 5 stars. Bar Ocho has the best staff…. From Andres to Henry to Olman, Javier, Bismarck, Renford, Emily, Erick, Jose Andres & Fernanda. All amazing. Esteban and Wendi at Zoe are amazing as well. Location was great, close to activities. Steakhouse was amazing. My only complaint was we went 2 nights with no ac in our room. Staff tried to accommodate us the best they could. Truth is, I would still go back.

We recently spent a week at this resort. It is a very nice and clean resort and the staff are very friendly. Everything was just so nice there. The food was unbelievable, especially at Zoe. The ceviche was so tasty. The sports bar was great watching hockey and basketball playoffs and our waiter Henry made the whole thing a blast. He was funny, genuine and a great waiter. I give this resort the highest rating I am able to give!

I recently stayed in one of the swim-up rooms at this resort. The room itself was beautiful—modern, clean, and with direct pool access, which was a real highlight. The grounds were also well-maintained, and the spa experience was excellent. I had a treatment during my stay and found the team professional, the environment relaxing, and the service genuinely first-class. There’s also a lovely gift shop on-site, and the general atmosphere of the resort is visually impressive and peaceful—for the most part. However, there were a few things that impacted my overall experience. Despite booking what I understand to be one of the top-tier rooms, I ended up with quite disruptive neighbours. A group of younger adults in the swim-up room next door brought their own sound system and played loud music for extended periods— well into the night and again early the next morning. I did speak to them directly, but it made no difference. More concerning was that hotel staff were walking past at times when the music was clearly audible, yet nothing was done. This gave the impression that maintaining a peaceful environment wasn’t a priority, which was disappointing considering the premium nature of the room. Another point worth noting was the tipping experience. While the food was generally good and service pleasant, I was surprised to be advised—on more than one occasion—that tips were typically 20%, even though a service charge was already included in the bill. In fairness, I had asked what the expected tipping rate was, so I partly blame myself for the confusion. That said, I do feel staff could have clarified that service was already included or suggested a lower amount accordingly. Finally, the beach is very close by and lovely to look at, but it’s not really a swimming beach. It’s ok and located beside a river or stream outlet, which may not suit everyone. That said, if you walk a little to the left, the area becomes more suitable for a dip. In summary, the hotel itself is impressive, and there were aspects I genuinely enjoyed. But the lack of intervention regarding noisy guests really affected my stay and ultimately made me decide not to return. While this wasn’t necessarily the hotel’s fault, it’s not a risk I’m willing to take again, especially at this price point. Our family of 10 visited Costa Rica and booked at the Marriott hotel, The grounds are incredible. Hotel rooms are nice and clean - Pool was a higlight for the kids. For activities in the area we strongly recommend Piko Travel.  We used Piko for multiple excursions including Manuel Antonio, canopy/zipline, monkey tour, and Nauyaca waterfall Best tour ever. Pikotravel are Amazing great service and much much cheaper we saved about 30% in tours This is a beautiful resort.  Food is expensive but normal.  We be back thank you Costa Rica best vacation ever!!
