OYO Hotel Hermiston or, Downtown

I really don’t like to be negative but this was horrible! Extremely sketchy black carpet in the hallways that’s dirty really really old. Nothing updated. My husband slept in the truck because of the rift raft hanging outside clear into the early morning hours did not feel safe at all. We were charged $150 for the night which is outrageous for such a place. We should’ve just kept our money and both slept in the truck.

Please read this. Be careful. Although this place is falling apart ( the towel holder fell down when I I tried to hang the towel back, broken windows and window screens, peeled floors, the bottom sheet was so washed out and thin it was coming off the mattress and you ended up sleeping on a bare mattress) they will charge you damage deposit. I took pictures when we arrived just to make sure we were not blamed for it. When I went to check out next morning the girl said we already checked out and after a long conversation she figured out that someone had checked out of room 153 earlier instead of room 253 ( our room)The deposit of $67 with tax that she said was going to be returned in 5 -7 days was never returned. It has been nearly a month. They have no direct phone number on their website and if you find one on the internet it will only take you to automated booking. It is absolutely impossible to talk to a human from ******* and any phone number that you can find for ******* will only take you to guess what-automated booking.

I requested a room with a kitchen. I did get that, unfortunately I had no actual cooking equipment, dishes, utensils, or even a coffee maker. I did let the front desk know the issue and all I was given was a coffee maker. I decided to go and pickup pots and pans, plates, cups, cooking and eating utensils, and some mixing bowels in order to cook my own meals instead of having to eat out. No, I did not leave those items in the room upon checking out. I would recommend that each kitchenette room have an inventory list of the items I listed above and they are always accounted for prior to and after each guest.

Great spot for the cost OYO was a great price with a clean bed and room. Suited our needs well. Lots of food options near by. Checking in and out was simple and easy, good service. Reduced to 4 starts because the shower drain was broken and had to be propped up in order to use the shower. Hall way and other room door sounds were louder than the norm in the rooms.

It was fine, not quite as advertised but it was also priced appropriately
