To give you an idea, we live about 5 minutes by car from this fine establishment. This was our fourth visit in 18 months, and have always stayed in the same room. Steve & Sheila make you feel very welcome when you arrive as do the friendly staff. There is a beautiful garden to wander in or just to sit and chat. The room is sumptuous, offering a super king size bed, smart TV, lovely bathroom with walk in shower and fabulous claw footed bath. Also there is an in room fridge complete with many options of drinks (all billable) which is a bonus as you are always provided with fresh milk for the tea and coffee on your arrival. The bed is fantastically comfortable ensuring a great nights sleep. The little touches Steve and Sheila add to the room are too many to mention, and probably even over looked by us as we only stay here for 1 night at a time. But include all the usual smellies for washing, shower caps/shoe mitts! Complimentary bottles of water, biscuits a wide range of tea and coffees, mints and even an ironing board. Very thick, heavy weight curtains ensure no light gets in, even though the B&B is situated in a very leafy road without many street lights. After a very comfortable and sound nights sleep...... comes The Breakfast..... Where to start? Vast range of breakfast options. Cereals, fruits, yogurts as well as a daily prepared fruit salad, and a range of juices, followed by the many cooked breakfast choices, all cooked to order by Steve. Vegetarians are fully catered for as well. Whatever cooked breakfast is ordered it always arrives pipping hot and cooked to a high standard. We cannot recommend this B&B highly enough, and it deserves every one of its 5 star AA ratings. And as a well known Austrian would say " We'll be back"

In many ways this B&B is very good value. For single occupancy it costs £121 and I think £148 for 2 people. It includes parking and breakfast. I was in room 10 which is on the ground floor and so suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Room 10 is spacious with a king sized bed and good view of the garden. It has a shower room and a chair to sit and relax. I was in Hereford for work and so I didn't get time to enjoy the garden but it is well maintained. Breakfast was nice and I loved the apple juice and fruit selection. The couple are friendly and overall it is a good base. I had never been to Hereford before and so was unsure what to expect. The walk from this B&B towards the centre is around 15 minutes depending on your pace. You enter at the scruffy part of the city with dirty looking, tacky shops. It is very run down and has litter blowing around and a general feeling of being uncared for. I noticed boarded up businesses which is a shame. However, if you keep going you will find some nice places. I got a chance to see the cathedral and Mappa Mundi which is great. Plus I had a delicious steak in the evening and a nice riverside walk.

We stayed with friends in a beautiful ,large house with a wonderful garden over the weekend of June 13th 25. We were welcomed by the friendly hosts and had a very enjoyable couple of nights with our married friends. It was great value , the breakfasts were excellent and the rooms are very clean with wonderful showers. Somerville house is situated close to the city of Hereford , a gentle 10 minute walk. We would not hesitate to to return , and will hopefully do so before Summers end. Thank you for making us so welcome .

Beautiful B&B. Friendly and welcoming. Room was small but very clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Close to the train station and bus station. Very convenient.

Great Hereford BandB.
Beautiful house, very tastefully furnished. All amenities you could require available in the room. Great breakfast, both cooked and continental. Only 10 minute walk into Hereford and the trains and buses. Only slight criticism was some bits of maintenance needed in bathroom, black on silicon at bath taps, floor grouting needed attention and sink plug didn't fit properly. Sheila and Steve were super friendly proprietors, happy to do anything to ensure a great stay.

Wow...what can we say..Excellent B&B. Steve and Sheila are the perfect hosts also little Deano the Westie. Beautiful spotless room with fantastic view especially the Cathedral. Breakfast was fantastic and the sausages are just so yummy...highly recommended and can't wait to stay again..thank you x

A very comfortable stay. Hosts friendly but not intrusive. Good breakfasts. Use of garden is a bonus. Hotel is convenient to station and town, but quiet and well maintained. Appreciated the in room fridge and drinks. There is also a quiet lounge useful for peace when visiting. One of the best B&B I have visited recently in the UK.

Everything about our stay was absolutely lovely. Our room was clean and very nice. Any amenity that you could possibly need. The owners/staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The provided breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. I would highly recommend them!
