Premier Inn Hereford Holmer

Kept awake all night by quests. Was full of 17 -20 year olds all congregating in the corridors at 2 am and banging doors. Couldn't even walk to reception to complain at 230am as opened my room door to see corridor full of people was really quiet intimidating. Went to complain at reception in the morning no one there. Was there with our son who had a rugby tournament the next day and was kept awake.

Please be aware that this particular Premier Inn is literally a building site with no prior warnings of major works being carried out. Customers are still expected to pay top rates, formal complaints are quite simply met by the customer services team with 'sorry.' Apart from being a major building site, complaints included: Heavily reduced restaurant menu, waiting over an hour for a meal to be served on a dirty plate. No restaurant drinks available other than bottled drinks, served without glasses. Hotel room not serviced at all throughout stay. Restaurant eventually closed without notice, no food available although meal deals pre-purchased. Hotel room lighting broken, no table lights.

I booked in for one night I arrived at 01:00 when I arrived the member of staff was very welcoming and polite, the staff work really well at helping change my room for my limited capabilities. When I got to my room as I entered I felt ever so comfortable it was a good spacious room with a verry comfortable bed and am easily acesable bathroom. The entire room was well kept, clean and tidy. I have stayed on alot of hotels around the UK this one has ended my respect to all of the staff who did everything they could to make this hotel ever so welcoming amd comfortable to come into and stay in. I thank you all for your hard work.

Booking the last room in the hotel, I was allocated an accessible room with a wet room, which wasn’t a problem. The room was dirty and the bed was really uncomfortable so much so I didn’t finish my 2 night stay and checked out early after one poor night. On the whole the hotel and restaurant felt a bit sad and neglected, and everything felt grubby. The bedding and towels felt clean but I didn’t want to walk barefoot anywhere in the room and in particular the bathroom. The floor was discoloured by what looked like ingrained black mould. The hand wash dispenser clearly hadn’t been cleaned in some time and there was no way I was having a shower on that floor! The staff were friendly though…. It must be a pretty grim place to work.

We were informed beforehand that building work was taking place at the Premier Inn Hereford Holmer Hotel but we were not informed that the restaurant was not operating due to a ceiling collapse. An email would have been helpful as we had to fight our way through Hereford traffic to find something to eat for our evening meal and then for our breakfast. Even when we checked in the receptionist did not tell us that the restaurant was closed. Decor dull and heating in room did not work.

Awful Booked the room with a meal deal in the morning. When I got there a few hours later I was told no evening meal and no breakfast as the restaurant had flooded…. Fair enough. But why did you let me book a meal deal and breakfast?! Had to leave there and go to another one up the road, doubt I’ll ever get a refund. It’s not hard to put a note on the website to say no food available. Very poor

The breakfast was unavailable - told after checking in despite pre booking and despite the problems that led to this, happening the day before - no email no nothing - come on Premier Inn? The flippancy and indifference of staff was unbelievable. Alternative offered was travelling to another location in the morning - when asked about refund was made to feel as if causing an issue. Building works on site we knew about and chose to come anyway - not a problem. Room was great and beds comfortable. The sink however had the last guest's shaved hair in the plughole and the water wouldn't drain properly - disgusting. We ended up brushing our teeth over the bath as by this time I lacked the energy to call reception once more. We booked as our son's event the next day was closed by, so a good night sleep and an early breakfast was what we expected and didn't get. 3 days later now and still no refund on the breakfast or any contact from Premier Inn to offer any recompense.

Utter dump my room smelled of damp and mould..the hotel was dirty staff unhelpful.the breakfast was disgusting.the food served in the virtually derelict pub onsite looked shocking. We did not eat as the people in the next table said food was awful and they had waited an hour for microwave meals no draught beers at all and a long wait for bottled beers

First time at this hotel and we was very disappointed, we booked this hotel because it had a beefeater pub and restaurant on site. As we were booking in we were told that the restaurant was closed at short notice, but we found out this was not the case it was advertised locally that it was to close a while back. You could get a drink but no draft beer and it had no atmosphere. Premier Inn staff work very hard but there is no investment by Whitbread in there hotels . A lot of the premier Inn hotels look very tired and outdated, we have used premier inn hotels for over 20 years and you can tell by the staff on sites that they are very frustrated with the situation. We also stayed at Harpole premier inn before staying at the Holmer hotel again this hotel was in poor condition . I would rather pay more and get a descent hotel, I believe that premier inns have had their days. And when we go away again I will look for an alternative hotel to stay. Having to pay £20 for taxis to go into Hereford town centre for a evening meal with a £100 bill for 3 after a long journey from West Sussex I was not impressed and felt let down!
