The Agents House, Bed & Breakfast

Initially we loved the apartment and love the history of it.... then we looked around..... It hasn't been cleaned properly for a while, plus nuances like bedsheets, duvet covers were not ironed. There are dead plants around the house and on the - otherwise very sweet - patio. Overall, it's neglected inside and outside. It's sad.

We stayed in the self contained annexe for 2 nights. Everything was very clean with nice toiletries and very large fluffy towels. Breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice, good portions, well presented and well cooked. Highly recommend!

Stayed here as a group of 8 friends camping the Wye. Fabulous stay, old school hospitality making sure we had everything we needed. Very comfortable immaculate rooms and a lovely cooked to order breakfast with local ingredients. Can’t fault it. Easily the best place to stay round here.

M.A.G.N.I.F.I.C.E.N.T. James and Louise are brilliant. Knowledge of the area, home prepared food, enthusiasm. Cleanliness, local produce, thoughtfulness. This is a real home from home. They could not be more welcoming. Book now or forever regret it.

Easy to find. Close to Hay on Wye, just right for Hay festival. The most wonderful and warm hosts, with the 'four legged' hosts being quite a delight too! Room was quiet, warm, airy, bed was very comfortable. Bathroom lovely, with fresh towels, shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap. A wonderful touch of some superb Artisan chocolates on the bed from the Hay festival. After a lovely night's rest, breakfast was served at your 'own time slot', homemade museli, with yogurt and berries then the best 'Full English' (not just in Wales) I have had in many a long while, with home made bread, home made beans in a tomatoey sauce, locally sourced sausages bacon and eggs. I haven't stayed in a B&B for well over 40yrs, some lovely guest staying in this familys fabulous home, and we all put the world to rights... what a treat!! You won't find any better, and you won't be more well looked after, or more welcome. #The Archers podcast at the Hay festival was really enjoyable too..
