Hotel is at very nice location by the lake, although my room had limited view to the lake. Easy access from the highway. I most likely will visit this hotel in the future. Reception is open until 23:00 and I just made it there before that, nevertheless the service was very good even at that time of the evening.

Arrived late 21:00 - the restaurant was closed already. My mistake I did not check. Other than that, the hotel is fine and I have stayed there several times when travelling by car. The hotel is by the A1 Road (so not in Riga centrum). Hotel is by a lake.

Nice welcome, clean room, comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast, with good choices. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Good location and helped us in where to eat for the evening. Good parking at front. Good selection of hot drinks within the room.

I rang the reception bell and a gentleman appeared enquiring if he could help me: No introduction; no welcome; no pleasantries. Upon learning my name, he found a set of keys, placed them in the door lock and told me not to worry about locking the front door. Breakfast was from 07.30am-08.50am. When I queried 08.50am, I was advised that there were only two of them (proprietors) and they had rooms to clean. Simply, this is not an issue for guests, and it should not interfere with guests. The room was reasonably spacious and clean, but the room was cold, and a touch of the radiators revealed them to be only slightly warm and just sparking into life. It was colder in the bathroom. It was -2C degrees when I arrived. The room should have been warm. Heating was switched off over night and did not re-ignite until around 06.45am. Consider how cold the room was with a -4C degree temp outside overnight and no heating inside. Breakfast was reasonable, although choice was limited from the buffet counter to (some) fruit and cereal. The cooked breakfast was enjoyable. Whilst at breakfast one guest drew the proprietor’s attention to the milk being sour. The guest was publicly rebuked by the proprietor who advised that everyone else had had the milk and that there had been no complaints, and besides the expiry date (of the milk) was the 20th. The guest defended themselves and further milk was provided which was no better. I was embarrassed for the guest. Remarkable, rude, and unnecessary behaviour from the proprietor. That afternoon I returned to my room. Again, there was no heating on– that was 3.30pm. The cold snap was continuing; the room was icy cold. I sat in my coat and turned on an additional small electric radiator provided (it was too small for the size of the room). This had little impact. Staying here is not cheap - £280 for a two-night stay in January. The service that I was provided with fell far below that which I have encountered anywhere before. The number of 10/10 reviews are incredulous: my experience was 2/10. Proprietors need to engage and welcome their guests, rather than leaving guests feeling that they are imposing upon them– this having already been commented upon by other reviewers. I shall not be returning.

Tilava huone, erittäin viihtyisä terassi järvelle päin, kiva pieni hiekkaranta.

Stayed 2 nights, didn't see the owner until the last morning at breakfast time. She totally humiliated me in front of other guests because I had the audacity to have used the bed throw on the 1st day and leave it on the chair. I had to defend my reason why ( I'm disabled and get exhausted very quickly and needed to have a sleep) this was whilst breakfast was being served to other guests and she was not discreet whatsoever. She didn't leave it at that she continued on about me using the throw instead of blankets in the wardrobe. At this point I left my breakfast as I was quite humiliated and was getting very distressed. Later away from the other guests I went to see her and informed her how she had left me feeling and her being inappropriate "reprimanding" me in front of other guests and a more professional and hospitable way would have had a little chat out of other guests being present. All she was focused on was the Throw and then to inform me that they cost more to get laundered. She did eventually apologise for humiliating me and with a great big smile on her face walk away from me. Wouldn't recommend this hotel if you want a friendly relaxing and welcoming hotel as this one did not fulfill anyone of these. This woman totally ruined my stay in Hereford by her attitude as if our money wasn't as good as the other guests and if she had treated me like the way she did after our 1st night we would not have wasted our money and stayed there a 2nd night that is for sure!!!!!

Excellent location, lovely place, quiet and convenient to the city centre. Been here before and will come again. Lovely room and comfortable bed. Breakfast great. Easy parking and walking distance into the city takes 10 minutes.

Female ‘host’ was the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We were made to feel so uncomfortable throughout our entire stay. Constantly looked up and down as if we weren’t good enough to stay in her (very average and pretty rundown) 3* establishment. In actual fact, this property fell way short of the standards I am accustomed to when travelling, Baffled by the reviews in this woman’s favour, as her overall manner was appalling. I totally second the review whereby the couple stated they had to leave the property a night early due to this woman’s rudeness. The breakfast selection was diabolical. The rooms are extremely run-down, absolutely stifling at night, and very noisy if you’re on the ground floor.
