Richmond Marriott Short Pump

The hotel advertises as “freshly renovated, exceptionally elevated. I am not sure what it is referring to. As far as I can tell, it looks exactly like it did two years ago when I stayed. And it is definitely not elevated in any way. The hotel did not update the paint color on its room doors. It is still a cream color and looks very dated and institutional. The rooms furniture is a bit worn. The major problem being there is absolutely no usable drawer space. There is a small two drawer cabinet in the closet, but the issue is that the drawers can’t open all the way because they bump into the closet door by about 2 inches. So you can open it about a quarter of the way. Those are the only two very small drawers in the room. The bed is not very comfortable. But there are ample pillows. The in-room WiFi is no good either. Very slow. If you want a place to put clothes away, this is not the hotel for you. The M Club is well stocked on beverages, but pretty sparse on snacks. The Thursday evening dessert was one chocolate cake sliced and when it was gone, it was gone. Plenty of folks were left without anything. But it is fairly spacious. They did have nice breakfasts that were good and had ample food. It was an ok stay. It is definitely not freshly renovated. I think you have to stop claiming that after six months of the renovations. Like I said, this place looks exactly same as the last time I stayed here years ago. There are much better Marriotts in Richmond. I’d recommend them over this one. Even if they are bit further away from the activity you may doing. I would book elsewhere if back in the area.

This was our first time staying at the Richmond Marriott Short Pump. Alejandro welcomed us. My husband is Platinum I had booked a king bed room. Alejandro surprised us with an upgrade. It was a busy weekend so didn’t expect an upgrade. The hotel is wonderful. The staff we spoke with were very nice. Didn’t use the pool or fitness center however did check them out. Both were nice although you do have to go through the dining room to get to them. I did notice stairs going to the second floor so you could access the stairs and go up to get the elevator as another option. The M club was nice plenty of drinks. However they did run out of snacks and there wasn’t hot water for tea Saturday night. We look forward to our next stay at the Marriott. And again a big thank you to Alejandro who was there to answer any and all of my questions.

I had a wonderful stay at this Marriott! The manager, Jewel, was absolutely amazing—kind, professional, and incredibly understanding. Traveling with my autistic son can sometimes be challenging, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and supported throughout our stay. The hotel was very clean and up to standard, and the entire experience was peaceful and accommodating. I truly appreciated the warmth and attention to detail. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you again for making our visit such a positive one!

We were in the Richmond area last weekend for a Baby Shower for our Son and Daughter in law. We secured 2 rooms for two nights and be room for one night. We enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient to the venue. I spoke to several team members prior to our stay and everyone was helpful. When we arrived William Ludwick checked us in and he provided 10 Gold Stars of Excellent Customer Service. He is a fine asset to The Marriott Team. He along with Brandy took care of us over the weekend! Two of our rooms were connected the other one next door all on same floorit was all perfect

Was onsite for my son’s soccer tournament and had another great experience at the Marriott Short Pump. Promyse at the front desk was particularly helpful during our stay. Great customer service!. She helped us with access to the gym, elite club and breakfast vouchers quickly and with a smile on her face.
