The Crown Pub, Dining & Rooms

The staff were very welcoming. The room was amazing. The breakfast choices were varied. My wife had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast and i had the big full english, both of which were cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. We highly recommend you stay here if you get the chance.

As a regular traveler it’s brilliant to find a place such as this! Great staff, great food and great accommodation. Can’t recommend this place highly enough I had a great two nights here, with excellent plant based food for dinner and breakfast too, one of the nicest vegan breakfasts in a hotel that I’ve had. The room was lovely and bed super comfortable and I enjoyed great nights sleep, large TV, plenty of power/charge points coffee machine, fridge etc just had it all

Wow, what a hidden gem The Crown is! We were visiting family in the area and booked for a 2 night stay. On entering the room, the bedside lamps and heating were left on for us, making it feel warm and inviting. The room was large with a king size bed and a large wet room. There was a hairdryer and pair of straighteners in a raffia bag hanging by the door, mini toiletries in the bathroom along with bath sheets. A coffee maker, kettle with pods/bags is on the desk along with Love Heart sweets as a bedtime treat. We found a wooden clipboard full of information about the facilities which we found really useful. Breakfast is included at the price and it really was 5* quality ingredients. It was served in the pub and the service from the staff throughout our stay was superb. The whole weekend felt luxurious, quality products in the room, great drinks from the bar and a top notch breakfast. The parking is free, you just have to register your car registration details at the pub entrance. It really was a fantastic weekend and we can't recommend The Crown enough. We will be back very soon!

Lovely room - wonderful breakfast Great room, very comfortable bed. Great coffee 😊 no noise from pub garden after 10.30 p.m

Only a one night stay thankfully Room was well equipped and breakfast excellent. Downsides were loose toilet seat, very hard and uncomfortable bed and poor quality curtains which should be black out curtains so that you are not kept awake by the pub lights until nearly midnight. Even after midnight the curtains are so thin that the room is too bright to sleep in.
