I was a little disappointed of the breakfast. The eggs Royale and the egg Benedict weren’t very good . For such a beautiful hotel it was below average. Apart from that the staff were super friendly. I shall come again .

Wonderful hotel and staff.
Breakfast could be better - seemed to have a menu on Saturday but then buffet on Sunday which was very basic. For what you pay, I would expect a proper coffee service too.
Otherwise wonderful turndown service, little touches and comfy beds and location is extremely central.

Truly excellent experience. This hotel is right in the centre of Henley on Thames, and my room had a view of the river (albeit through a small and high up window). It has obviously been recently kitted out with a huge amount of care and attention. I had a single room, but it was comfortable and didn't feel at all cramped. It had the period charm but the modern conveniences you'd expect. I'd happily stay there again.
The only slightly less than exceptional part of the stay was the breakfasts. These were fine, but not as great as the rest of the experience. Overall not a huge minus, but I might pop to one of Henley's numerous other breakfast options next time.

The room and service are very good. The only drawback is that the hotel has no parking lot and you need to park at the train station opposite and walk back.

Severely understaffed. Lengthy wait at reception where incorrect information re parking was given. Some rooms very small with awkwardly placed roof beams (ouch!). Unclear directions to whereabouts of bedrooms in the maze of corridors and staircases that is the hotel. Breakfast tables very slow to be cleared, customers being asked to "wait in the bar", and several empty dishes at breakfast buffet. Empty orange juice dispenser too. However, the younger waiters were agreeable and efficient, and the standard of furnishings is high and modern, even if the lighting in our bathroom was totally inadequate. Management need to take control.
