Premier Inn Helston

We choose to stay in Helston PremierInn on our short wekeend trip to Cornwall. Although the stay had some good bits i.e., free parking, close by restaurant and Theme park. There were few things about the stay that made it really unpleasant. old building with strong damp smell inside the room and in the corridors.

Definitely one of the better, possibly the best, Premier Inns we have stayed in. Well-located, quiet and clean room. What really made the stay was the friendliness of the staff in the May Tree pub next door. The breakfast was the best I've had in any premier Inn.

Booked in for a 2 nightstay, as we needed a break. 1 dinner, continental breakfasts. Easy to book. Room was of good standard . Food and service, at the May Tree restaurant, (adjacent) was good. Served dinner by Sophie (about to become a mum) Great attitude. A few points which lost the 5th star. On arrival (1 hour early) after a 150 mile journey, my wife and I, in our seventies, needed to rest. Reception informed us our room was ready but we would have to pay an extra £10 surcharge to enter early, which we declined on principle. There was no razor socket in the bathroom (reception found a 2 pin socket for me, thankyou). Mobile phone and wifi connection was very poor. Again we could have upgraded wifi and paid an extra £5 but we declined on principle. Our stay was enjoyable as our room was at the rear of the property and very quiet, food was good and staff attentive. Would return. Keith Rudyard

Staff were great unfortunately room was poor but didn’t take much notice till later and felt mentioning to staff was to late and moving room we couldn’t be bothered. Mould over ceiling and constant noise from above throughout night. Uncomfortable bed and awful pillows. Booked meal deal but couldn’t get us in till 9.30pm. Decided to eat elsewhere and except refund of evening meal, lady in morning stated she done it only to find in week she hadn’t so we are expecting it soon.

Have never had an issue here. Now my regular stay away for work when I am in the Cornwall area, and I now typically stay here once a week. Reception team are very lovely and they recognised me on my second visit which was really nice. Not far from Falmouth where i work but beautifully secluded if you're looking for a quiet nights rest.

I traveled to Cornwall on my own and wanted simple comfortable accommodation not far from the sea. Helston Premier Inn was an ideal location, clean and comfortable with friendly staff and generous brwakfasts.

Always stayed at premier inn but I’m not so sure I want to again. The bed was not comfortable at all. The room was not what we requested. The bed sheet didn’t even fit the bed, only came three quarters of the way down the bed.

The Restaurant lady’s although they were very busy at Breakfast time they still had a very friendly and helpful attitude nothing was too much. This also applies to the staff at the Hotel. The Helston Premier inn should be there Flag ship as we think this is the very best one we stayed in for a long time

Convenient location near Helston and the coast. The room was at the back of the hotel and provided a quiet space for a midweek stay
