The mattress had a hole in it, so didn't sleep and had a bad back as the mattress was not fit for purpose and insanely uncomfortable. I was promised compensation that has never come. Will not stay again and would advise others not to.

Staff were lovely but the room and hallways smelt of stale water/damp. It was quite strong in the hallways.

On arrival greeted by acould not care less man, given key with a moan. We stayed 5 nights,only on first day did bins get emptied and towels change, no other house keeping,in fact the whole stay no prper house keeping we die get cjean towels just dumped in room when we asked but did not take away dirty used ones our empty bins, let alone hoover room wash bathroom floor or change sheets. We did complain about shower gel dispenser being empty to be told its full but they jam sometimes never did get fixed. Having stayed at this lodge a few times in the past but not in last 4 years,this has put ub off ever using Travelodge ever again its more like a doss house now used to be OK.

Wir sind gerade nach einem fantastischen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel nach Hause zurückgekehrt. Nicht das modernste, aber es ist sehr sauber und hat einen Charme mit dem tollsten Personal, das wir je in England erlebt haben. Viele könnten hier von den Mitarbeitern lernen.

Be prepared you are paying for a room and that's exactly what you get. Staff are friendly and the rooms clean so if all you are doing is getting your head down and you can stand the constant hum throughout the night you'll be OK. There are literally no facilities on site and you have to go to the garage next door to buy anything you need. This is a throwback to the bad old days of Travelodge. There are no power points for electricals next to the beds. No USB charging points. Its in the middle of nowhere but you still pay £3 for overnight parking. Who the hell is going to come all the way from the nearest town to to park thgere. Severely under impressed.

The hotel was very clean, and quiet despite being by a dual carriageway. Having to pay for parking and the internet is annoying, as this is offered free at other hotels, and also the hotel is out of town so there should be no need to charge for parking. Beds were comfortable. The lack of onsite restaurant means Kendal or a takeaway are your options, which is a bit disappointing. Overall, pretty satisfied. My main complaint would be about the inadequate breakfast with no choice of items.

The hotel is ideally situated for access to the local area. Although it is on the main duel carriageway, kendal is only a few minutes away. The room was really nice and the staff helpful. I will certainly use this hotel again.
