Stayed for one night - staff were lovely. Food was good. Room was small but adequate and bed was really comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were in the room and the bathroom had handwashing, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion included.

My mum and I stayed here for a couple of nights and couldn’t recommend it more! The room was super comfy, with great furnishings and everything I needed. The food and drinks were top-notch and very reasonably priced, not to mention the friendly service. Laurie and Tracey both deserve a special mention they are both fantastic and really made us feel like valued guests. Laurie obviously loves her job and is a great ambassador for the inn collection brand. I especially appreciated the focus on environmental awareness – it’s nice to see a place that cares. I’ve already told my friends and family to check it out!

We dropped in as we were passing through Helmsley and not looking forward to cooking dinner when we got home. Very good service from some helpful staff and excelent food.

Good well appointed room and very good breakfast. Excellent location on the market place and own parking which is definitely a bonus in Helmsdale. Very good beer garden at the rear of the property

I cannot praise this lovely hotel enough. Staff really attentive despite being extremely busy, especially Lauren who despite struggling with a knee problem was still professional and helpful.also the manager very helpful and efficient. 10/10.cant wait to return!

Visited this lovely old inn several times during our short tour of Yorkshire. Beautiful old coaching inn, with a lovely beer garden. We lucked out with the weather so ate in the beer garden 3 times. Food was reasonably priced with good portions and very good quality. Friendly staff and good ale too. Good choice ranging from delicious sandwiches to main courses. Would definitely recommend.

Have stayed here before & is always a comfortable stay. Staff are very friendly & accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. Room was very clean & comfortable with all we needed to make our stay the best it could be. Food was delicious with a great choice on the menu & a fabulous cooked breakfast before our departure was very much enjoyed. Would highly recommend a stay in this lovely hotel!

Helmsby is a pleasant Yorkshire town but with only limited facilities for us. Unfortunately we had to shorten our visit. due to problems at home!!

Went for birthday break arrived early and the lady on reception let us book in early which was great.The room was nice clean and spacious overlooking gardens which was lovely ,the bed was comfy too and room had coffee teas etc biscuits too safe ironing board iron hairdryer bathroom was clean too with bath and over head shower had plenty of soaps etc we stayed 2 nights and had evening meal there too which was lovely and bottle wine too prices wasn't too expensive .The Australian young man served us was very pleasant and took time to chat to us too and also all staff was really nice .Breakfast was really nice cereal teas coffee juice etc everything you wanted was there and choice of hot food too was good we had full English breakfast which was absolutely great, we would deffinately book again with inn collection group helmsley is our favourite place and also the carpark was good too thank you black swan inn you was great 👍
