Amazing service and even more amazing breakfast. We were welcomed with a hot pot of tea by the fireplace while we checked in. Nice comfortable.room overlooking the river. But the highlight was the breakfast, absolutely amazing!

Charming 19th century hotel with the odd creaking floorboard which adds to the charm. Parking is not an issue. Hans the owner, makes you feel welcome and is helpful with advice and local knowledge. Great to see a fire going in the comfortable cozy lounge. I would agree with an earlier comment that the bedrooms are very spacious but on the rustic side of great. Our room was cold when we arrived - I couldn’t get the radiators to work. Hans apologised & advised how to get the heat on – offering to do it himself – but I did it myself no problem. Once it came on, the room and bathroom warmed up very nicely. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast selection was ok and satisfactory. The only irritation was the wi-fi which was patchy. Hans said he’d re-boot the router, but any improvement was not sustained. We had a nice dinner in the village and I would recommend The Bridge as a stop over on any trip around Scotland.

All we could ask for, very comfortable bed, decent sized room, excellent breakfast and a chatty and informative host. Would we return - yes indeed!

Very poor welcome. When there was a problem with no key in the door as promised we had go into the street to find the proprietor. We were moved to the very top of the house from the room we had booked with no help with luggage. We decided to find somewhere else to stay, so cannot comment on breakfast etc.

I enjoyed an excellent two night stay and couldn’t fault it at all. The hotel was very clean and fresh. Breakfast was very good. Very pleasant welcoming also. Hopefully will return one day. Ken. Morecambe

A good place for our overnight stay. The bed was massive and comfortable. Room was clean as was en-suite although a shower would improve this setting.
Breakfast was good and host was amicable.
