The Carolina Bed & Breakfast

We stayed here once before. A lovely, warm B&B. The owner, Colleen, is super friendly. The place is impeccable decorated with porcelain and antiques. The outside is great, with gazebos, fireplaces, and lounge chairs. There some great restaurants nearby. This place is rated the B&B in Helena and it deserves it.

Not only is this place charming and romantic but the owner is so sweet and kind. It felt like a home away from home from the moment we walked through the door. It's also in a great location and walking distance from a lot of beautiful little Helena treasures.

My wife and I stayed here in February 2024 and I cannot put into words how beautifully furnished and decorated this B and B is. The host and owner Coleen has done an exceptional job of making this turn of the century home into a must stay in Helena. My stay was quiet and contemplating and I enjoyed every moment there. The breakfast was excellent and intimate as we were the only guests on a cold winter night.

This was our second stay at The Carolina Bed and Breakfast. I can’t say enough about this lovely bed and breakfast. Colleen is such a fabulous hostess. Different delicious breakfasts every morning. There’s a beautiful outside patio with fireplaces. All the rooms are comfortable, clean,and nicely decorated. The location is great - easy walk to downtown. I highly recommend staying here.

We were traveling with two of our adult children and required two rooms. We booked the top floor suite. It was very awkward to get to, climbing a narrow staircase and squeezing past furniture in the stairwell. The bathroom for the suite is located right at the top of the stairs which concerned us, being in an unfamiliar building in a dark attic room. In the morning, the owner did not start breakfast until everyone was downstairs and then cooked for each group separately anyway. This meant that we waited while everyone else ate before we got breakfast. There were no options for breakfast. Scrabbled egs, bacon, fruit cup only. As we were the last to be served, she had run out of bacon so we each got half a piece. One of our children doesn't like eggs, so we ended up giving her our fruit cups. This was our second B&B experience, if it had been our first - it would have been our last.
