Excellent hospitality and fun town to visit. Clean restrooms located throughout the town. Shops were fun to visit and prices great. Parking only $10 and in nice safe area of town. A lot of different restaurants to choose from. Employees of stores very friendly and welcoming.

My wife booked a room at Alpine Village Inn in Helen Georgia for our anniversary. A few days before we were to leave, I checked out reviews on Tripadvisor and saw many negative ones, so I was worried that she'd be disappointed. While some of the negatives mentioned were true, it wasn't nearly as bad as was written and certainly didn't deserve one- or two-star reviews. First off, the rate was about $415 for 3 nights, so if you book here don't expect a resort experience. The Inn was built to look like Alpine chalets and is very picturesque. Upon arrival we were checked in promptly and assigned a lower room, which was very clean and decently furnished. It reminded me of what you might expect from a Days Inn or some other budget-friendly hotel. As other reviewers mentioned, you could hear the people in the adjoining room when standing near the lock-off doors, and you could definitely hear the people in the room above us as they walked across their room, but it wasn't bad enough to disrupt our sleep. There was an outside area with a pool table and a small fire pit that is fired up every night as it gets dark, which was pleasant to sit around and talk to other lodgers while sipping on a cool beverage. We met a small family group with two children, and one of the managers brought out things to make smores, which the kids loved. The Inn is located a little off the main road in Helen, which is a quaint little town built to resemble an Alpine village and was an easy walk away. The town isn't huge, but there were plenty of stores and restaurants to visit. There are also things to do nearby like tubing, fishing, & hiking, and there were lots of little wineries just a short drive away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had no major complaints about the Inn or our room.

This is a cute Alpine village with lights all around the eves of two story chalets. There is an outside area with a BBQ and a fire pit that is cozy to sit around. You can meet people from all over and chat around the fire. We met a couple with their daughter from Purto Rico and it was fun trying out just a few words in Spanish

nothing but wall to wall of overpriced shops. BeerGarten was overpriced and food was at OK. Parking prices are CRAZY, $20 bucks for the day and we were off season, we got lucky and found a $5 parking lot next door to a church. we rented a room planning on spending the night there but after an hour an half we decided to eat the cost of the room and drive back to Florida. If you want overpriced tourist stuff then this is your place! would not go back or recommend.

Location was the ONLY thing this place had going for itself. you can hear everything going on outside, and in your neighbors room (including every bodily noise they make). the bonfire at night leads to being kept up till after midnight because they are so loud you can hear everything, and I mean everything. better bring some headphones to block out the noise. the room itself was cheaply remodeled. the sink was not cleaned well as you could see previous guests facial hair around the sink. only received two bath towels, no wash cloths.

If you want a no frills place to sleep with very friendly people who run it, this is your place. It is an older property that could use. A LOT of updates, but we made the best of it. They have cornhole boards, a pool table, grill, and a fire pit (they light every night). It is difficult to get clean towels and other necessities since no one stays in the office. One of the owners cleans the rooms, but there’s a number to call to reach someone. It was not my usual standard, but the kids didn’t have a problem. It does have a “smell,” and I think that’s because it’s older and not updated. I don’t think I would stay again though. The walls are VERY thin and we could hear people walking upstairs constantly and the person next to us had their TV extremely loud.

A little hotel, with character. Clean. The people Lindsey and Vernon running it are very nice and helpful. Easy parking and in walking distance to the shops. The town is very nice. Easy walking. Still decorated with Christmas lights. It was an overnight stay, would like to return in summer or fall.

Great location! Room was spacious. The king bed was comfortable and the pillows which we had 4 were very comfortable also. Only downside was that the shower was barely lukewarm. But everything was clean. Town was bustling! We also highly recommend eating at Cowboys and Angels! Great food, and great service!
